None are immune to crazies. Gaming isn’t even safe. Bungie, you supported all kinds of other tragedies, maybe support this one as well. Gaming community unite!
And please, keep the politics out of this. This was a sick person/people thing, period.
Edit: Guardians! Please keep politics out. Think of these kids/people’s families. They lost loved ones at a GAMING convention. This was to simply inform because it shocked me. I didn’t really expect comments, but should have known this would light a fire. Think of the people and appreciate your lives a bit. It can all change, anywhere, any time. Brings back bad memories from Iraq for me hearing that sound bite. I listened once and never again. Hugging my kids a little extra tonight.

Not surprised, another white guy with low self esteem issues, loses it.

11 RepliesJust a question, what do you do if you suspect someone you know is gonna shoot up your school?
This is a serious question, school starts tomorrow and someone I know is basically your stereotypical textbook school shooter.
3 RepliesSay what you want about politics. If this guy did in fact try to obtain an firearm legally and was denied because of his mental condition AND OR that a background check was something that didn’t happen. OR both those things happened and he was denied but obtained a firearm illegally anyways. Everything about this individual screams political jargon until Friday, and when we all take the weekend off, and come back Monday we’re gonna stop the conversation until the next public shooting in 3 weeks.

American gun culture has to change. End. -
Edited by Section Ratio General: 8/28/2018 4:07:18 AMOP, I don't want to say something canned like my thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the slain victims, because that won't do a thing. If there was a way to donate for funeral costs or something, I'd do that if I had the money. Hell, I'd spread the word around if there was a link to a crowdfunding site for the victims that were killed. People are going to politicize this regardless or not, seeing as that's usually how things will turn out when a tragedy strikes. I guarantee that people are going to be talking about increased gun control (such as not being able to bring guns across state borders), or say that mental health needs to be looked at, or whatever. People will turn it into a politics debate because it's an issue in the US that seems to be specific to only the US (mass shootings). Things like this always pop up. It happened during the Pulse Nightclub massacre, the Vegas massacre, the Stoneman massacre, and now people will talk about this mass shooting. People will always talk about increasing gun control or increasing mental health awareness, or blame video games, or whatever, until the mass shooting problem that is starting to become associated with US culture is addressed and resolved. As for the shooter, screw that guy. His main motive for the shooting (based off of what people who were at the event have said) was because he lost a game. If the shooter decided to take the lives of two people and injure 11 others just because he lost a game, screw him.

9 RepliesOh lord. How long before they start blaming games?

2 RepliesOr we could BAN FOOTBALL because it was a MADDEN event and according to this: 3 dead after shooting rampage at Madden tourney at Jacksonville Landing - USA TODAYhttps://apple.news/AabJMP9KQT_2tINElnuH5Zg article says “The shooting took place less than two days after a shooting at a high school football game a few miles away left one person dead and two wounded.” So I think we should ban football in Florida because obviously they can’t take a football related loss
-
5 RepliesHow long before we see a "video games make kids violent" news story. Even though it was Madden. :(

9 RepliesWhat is the source of murderous intent if not firearms and video games?

An eBitch lost it at an eSports event. Some sad sack little piss ant couldn't handle losing, so he decides to kill people. Horrible.
-
Bungie went silent today because of this. No launch trailer because of it.

6 RepliesI do believe the violence in Madden caused this. Very troubling video game that should be banned.

2 RepliesAnother reason not to play madden

1 ReplyWhile this is horrendous, and I sympathize deeply with those who lost their lives, I’m glad this wasn’t a shooting game tournament.
No harm meant, simply a statement.
7 RepliesViolent video games caused this

Did he use a semi fully automatic "ATOMIZER RAYBLASTER 15?"
-
1 ReplyBan video games
-
9 RepliesWell, the shooter didn’t use anything even resembling an AR-15, and they weren’t playing some ultraviolet murder simulator (Call of Duty?). So I wonder how the media will spin this one.
-
Another senseless tragedy. I can't wait to see the toxicology report on this POS. Drugs and toxicity in gaming are a bad mix. I'd be for an all out ban on firearms if it also applied to police and politicians' security details. And if you could guarantee all criminals would also be disarmed. Until then...

11 RepliesWait til the media starts the video games cause violence crap

2 RepliesDude looks like a crack head.

1 ReplySo far Fox News hasn’t uploaded a video on this shooting (I’m guessing because the suspect is a white male?) but if it was a illegal immigrant they would go ape sh*t.
