Why Cayde Actually Died
Cayde wouldn't have needed to bring out his Ghost to heal him if he hadn't taken so much damage in the first place, but he needed his super. The whole time the Scorn pummeled him on the ground, Cayde was going into his menu to switch his super.
Destiny 2's terrible load times killed Cayde!
Edit: Apparently this is a spoiler to some people, and for that I apologize. I just thought everyone knew because said spoiler is pretty much everywhere by this point.

1 ReplyGuarantee he isn’t going to stay dead. Ace is gonna have to wait a bit longer. Remember, it’s been hinted to us that he has a part of Rasputin’s Warmind inside his conscious. I believe he will come back, just not as a guardian. Plus there are many Awoken secrets to be learned in the Dreaming City. Plus why would they spoil such a big [b][i][u]plot point[/u][/i][/b] so early and not save it for us to find out for ourselves on the 4th? That is, unless there are even bigger plot twists and secrets to be told and discovered and they are just baiting us with his death? Plus, why would they kill off their only popular character? Just saying... something isn’t adding up

I think he was trying to return to orbit. Switching a super wouldn’t have done anything for him since it would need to charge.

They should def kill off ikora or zavala. Have us join cayde in fighting in the reef. Make him more serious this time around, some humor not too much. Depends how this story fills out but i dont really care about anyone in the tower now.
