If any of you guys actually think this is true, drop actual lore proof or reasons why you think so. Seeing as how the question might very well be answered for better or worse when Forsaken drops so..drop any in lore reason why you think this is true.

4 RepliesHas anybody else noticed that xol look exactly like the gravemind from halo?

1 ReplyThere not the same

1 ReplyI remember hearing something about them being alike in a video from byf. But from my understanding they are not the same.

8 RepliesI believe the Worm Gods are more of a play on words, really. Worm likens to Wyrm, and even if the Worm gods may be draconic, they're still not Ahamkara. They seem like Wyrm rather than Dragons, which aren't the same. Xol doesn't make me think of an Ahamkara and the Worms follow a different logic. They aren't wish granters and tempters. The Ahamkara seem to like to tempt and provoke your ego. The Worms gods seem lawful evil to me whereas the Ahamkara seem more chaotic neutral.

7 RepliesI don't think Ahamkara are Worm Gods. In the book of Sorrows I'm pretty sure it depicts the Worms in the deep with having wings, also looking at the exotics that are from the Ahamkara they have bones and you can see small skulls. Completely different bone structure to that of the Worm God, Xol. Also I don't think we'll find out any answer in Forsaken, we've just seen Xol, a Worm God. I can't imagine Bungie will pull the same boss card twice in a row.

3 RepliesI was under the impression that the Ahamkara were created when the traveller changed the system, and the worm gods were there millennia before the traveller ever found us.

1 ReplyAhamkara are a lot like dragons.

43 Replies[armory]Skull of Dire Ahamkara[/armory] shows us that the Ahamkara have a split lower jaw, same as Xol did, as well as a similar positioning of jaw fangs and snout tusks. On top of this, in closer inspection of Xol's face when he has it closed, remnants of former eye indentations and side mandible positioning form a draconic like facial structure. Its reasonable to believe that after how ever many millenia Xol's spent serving the Deep, that he's gone under a multitude of transformations, leading to his multi-split face and glowing bits, and that his original form looked a little more like an Ahamkara, which we have yet to see alive. We also have yet to physically see Yul, who has been said to have Scales, wings, and was good at bargaining with their deals, all traits we'd associate with an Ahamakra. So even if the next Raid boss includes a taken Ahamkara as some have speculated, its still going to be up in the air until we see Yul. Its not proof, its just enough reasonable doubt to annoy those who adamantly oppose the possibility that there's a connection between the Ahamkara and the Worm Gods. And isn't that just as good? I think so

3 RepliesNEVA THE AHAKAMARA ARE COOL. The worm gods look like mutated weiners

Destiny was originally a Fantasy game. But half want to do a shooter. Wryms turned into worms cause bungie is weird.

1 ReplyI did before Warmind. Now I don’t, but wouldn’t be surprised if there was a link. We’ll have to wait and see.

2 RepliesDo worm gods have feathers?

6 Replies*grabs popcorn 🍿

1 ReplyIt’s so obvious they are not, I didn’t see xol handing out wishes before we killed him
-
1 ReplyThey arent. There are recorded feats in tons of lore around the Ahamkara armor and such. The Ahamkara came with the traveler and started appearing with the change life. I doubt Guardians were out here in hunting groups killing worm gods. Worm gods are worms. Ahamkara are somemone guardians to bthe best of their ability hunted to extinction in the Solar system

25 Replies1. Our God's are ours alone 2. Oh sisters mine 3. the Worm Gods describe themselves as having jaws and wings. I legitimately believe that Bungie retconned the worm Gods into actual the worms
-
4 RepliesI sure hope not. Worm gods are worshipped by hive. It doesn't make sense for them to worship what anyone assumes is little more than a monstrous dragon. Ahamkara aren't pure evil, and I hope they have a similar flight system but don't look anything alike.
