If bf5 can do it. Destiny sure can

I’m pretty sure the fov on d2 is worse than d1... Probably because they wanted to go crazy on particle effects... stupid... D2 gives me motion sickness sometimes... d1 didn’t do that.
-
3 RepliesAs cool as this would be, from a hardware standpoint it’s basically impossible. Turning the FOV up has a significant effect on frame rate because you have to render more on screen at once. Consoles just don’t have that kind of power.
-
I 100% agree with you. Console FOV is painful
-
5 RepliesI have d2 on PC I try to stick to it but I look at my vault and clan list and jump back on ps4. I hope cross saves and cross play come soon. I only have a ps4 because of destiny. I'm ready to be done with console's for good. I don't care about exclusives
-
2 RepliesMost games are removing FoV from there game settings (not like a way around it) because it technically provides a competitive advantage. I see more problems like this in R6 (which they are removing for pc, thank god) but not D2.
-
7 RepliesBorderlands did it, why not Destiny?
-
9 RepliesLook at all these console players begging for video options with no knowledge of the hardware they possess. In the wise words of Lord Shaxx:
"I love it!"
-
1 ReplyGotta love it when someone jumps over you and they essentially vanish from existence until they have you near dead.
-
It’s a performance thing, the more that’s on screen the harder the console has to work and let’s be honest consoles can BARELY run this game I have ps4 pro and I feel like my game is gonna crash whenever I open up the director or the emote wheel. 😔
-
3 RepliesProblem: console doesn't have a slide. Solution: build a PC.
-
19 RepliesEdited by Black Magic: 8/26/2018 10:24:08 PMThe question is: Why is Destiny 2 not optimized for Console? Edit: 🤪
-
CPU will bottleneck.
-
1 ReplySure. If you enjoy running at a sub 30 frame rate.
-
I doubt console can run a higher fov then they already have, thats why its not an option. Maybe next gen we get higher specs.
-
2013 consoles can't handle it.
-
3 RepliesThat and a 60fps update for pro and Xbox one X
-
6 RepliesThen buy a PC.
-
1 ReplyGame is trash on console. I only keep playing because I don't want to start over and I have a big collection on ps4.
-
Not possible.
-
I don't know if the regular XBOne and PS4 hardware could handle it, or how optimized D2 is, but on PC FOV doesn't affect FPS too much. It's a few frames difference from 90 to 105 (I think like 3 or 4 frames?), so I don't know. The PS4 Pro and XBOne X can definitely handle those higher FOV's though.
-
22 RepliesYeah to ruin already horrible FPS. Use your god damned brain.
-
6 RepliesFully agree I would kill to play crucible with a fov of 120 :)
-
Probably wouldn't work for technical reasons. Gotta maintain that 30fps am I right??
