We know that Guardians are practically immortal, but can they even conceive children? This was never really addressed in the lore and I’m just curious.

yep... Kinder-guardians.

9 RepliesWho needs kids with all the crying Hunters do.
-
Yes, they’re called hunters.
-
1 ReplyAmanda Holliday and I keep trying. Like over and over. No luck yet. But I will keep you posted.
-
they cant,
-
Reproduction is folklore.
-
After all these years at least one would have tried. Yet there are none.
-
My gut says yes, but their kids would likely not be guardians just normal humans/awoken.

8 RepliesEdited by TabbyTennis801: 8/27/2018 3:07:32 AMGod, I’m sick of this question, but here we go again... Have you ever Avengers: Age of Ultron? Well, in case you haven’t, in it Black Widow says that she was trained to be an assassin, a killing machine. At the end of her training, she was fixed. They didn’t want her having children because a family is the one thing more important than a mission. Guardians most likely work the same way. They can’t have children, not because the reproductive system doesn’t work, but because it keeps Guardians from their job: protecting humanity. However, we know that Guardians have hormones and two distinct sexes because female Guardians are distinctly different from males, and Shaxx clearly exhibits high levels of testosterone because of all the yelling and whatnot. We also know that they have can have relationships because of Ikora and Ana. Basically, Guardians could be able to have children, but if they could we wouldn’t know because it’s prohibited. It’s kind of like Guardians not being allowed to investigate their past lives. If they can do it, but that doesn’t mean they should.

I don't see why not, it's probably against some rule as a guardian, but at least human guardians for sure, you have a body, I'm assuming when you got resurrected, everything was resurrected

3 RepliesCan Anything "Dead" - Sport a Erogenous Erection, or be Fertile for that Matter? Hell... our Guardians cant even talk, can you imagine your guardian pulling their O face with not a single peep? I mean, judging by the amount of blights that have been destroyed in the D2 universe, in public events, we know that a guardians pull out game isn't strong, but still? doesn't help your sitting with a Xol in your Pants that took some Nokrisagra, but all you have to shoot at people / things / ovaries are nothing but empty promises and burpfart noises. Exos will just make a 56K modem noise. so I think. its a Negative

2 RepliesWell shin malphur was born with light and we don’t know who his original parents were. Maybe guardians who lost there ghost during a battle. So the city allowed them to settle somewhere instead of forcing them to find another ghost, so they went to the town where shin was found.
forgot the name of it
-
I’ve always assumed the guardians are sterilized when they are brought back by the light.
-
only if they have a black hammer equipped
-
Id ask luke smith, but making content is hard.
-
I don't really see Guardians as "people", so I don't think they would be able to reproduce.
-
3 RepliesI think male human ones likely can. If they can die, they probably function in other ways. Female ones, maybe not. Arguably they could conceive and carry a child, but they would have to avoid any conflict. If they died, their child would as well, and since their child is not forged in light, he/she cannot be revived. I think it's stated in canon that Awoken are sterile, and bots don't reproduce either.
-
I'd say so they died years ago a majority of them when resurrected stayed sterile
-
1 ReplyYeah fam, you just rub your no-no bots together, and boom, a crying hunter pops out.

This question has actually been asked a lot in this tab over the years, but we only have theories. My personal theory is that, since we know for a fact that the Ghost revival restores at least some bodily functions, a Guardian should be able to produce a baby as long as they eat and drink to help the baby grow and do not fight during that time. A Ghost can only restore a Guardian, so the baby wouldn’t be safe if its mother was harmed while pregnant Of course, there’s always the possibility that Guardians are sterile and can’t have children
-
Really.
-
All guardians are infertile. The Light is a form of radiation. It is highly concentrated in guardians, making them immortal. And totally sterile.
-
10 RepliesCan exos f.uck?
-
I don't think so. I would assume that they just don't have as much of a sex drive or that their hormones are wack. They are most likely infertile due to being resurrected. But who knows, nothing has been confirmed, but we've also never seen or heard of any guardians with children. If they could have kids, that would probably raise some questions about inheriting the light and all sorts of stuff.

11 RepliesSee: Halo lore regarding the suppression and elimination of hormones that aren't Adrenaline. And the fact that Destiny shot for a "T for Teen" rating.

1 ReplyWell Cayde-6 had a son named Ace...
