How Does Oryx Reflect Noah? This is a terrible stretch to christianity and shows how you know nothing of it. I am not defending Christianity I am just saying that you clearly don’t know the religion due to these analogies. Trust me Noah never turned on God or went after him. Oryx situation is not Noah. Oryx escaped bc he made a deal with the Traveler’s enemy. Sounds nothing like Noah. Please be educated in a subject before making the wrong references’ analogies. The other religious post seemed good but it seems like you half assed this one just to get christianity in.

doesnt change the fact that the op made the wrong connection between noah and oryx. of course christians know that christianity came from judaism. the real name of God in both reflects that fact. it is just the op apparently knows nothing of either and them being tied together. what if i told you a main stay in christian faith is to stand with Israel and its people. i was raised to believe that america would fall if we ever turned our back on Israel.

  • You just showed how ignorant you are of christians. The christian bible is the jewish bible....FYI kid. word for word old testament which is 90% of the christian bible. Im christian ive read every word. Jesus the savior of christians is a jew and in fact there were no christians with jesus or on the planet. only jews. christianity is a evolution of judaism. Jews recognize jesus as a prophet. The joke is the jews killed jesus but it was actually the romans who werent jews so..... lotta catching up to do you have

  • All major religions and many secular texts reference a flood. The evidence from a secular pov for a young 6000 year old universe is actually overwhelming. There is an interesting movie called "Is Genesis History" on Netflix. Granted, its done entirely by Christians, but they all have doctorates and are top in their fields of study.

  • Not a Christian, just and educated agnostic atheist.

  • So youre saying that you are an educated person who is surely unsure if there is a God. Not sure why you have so many qualifiers listed. Simply saying "agnostic" or "educated agnostoc" means the same. Athiest refers to being certain that God does not exist. Agnostic is more of like, meh, maybe, but most likely not, Im pretty unsure.

  • Hence Agnostic atheist. Atheism means believe that god does not exist. Agnostic means I don’t have the absolute evidence to say there is or isn’t a god. Some atheist absolutely believe there is no chance for a god. I say i don’t believe in one but who knows there may be one.

  • And an atheist bc I don’t believe in any god. Trust me bro I have a BA in philosophy. Agnosticism and atheism can be combined.

  • I do have a solid understanding. Im a bit worried about you buddy. Thats an awful lot of hostility you seem to be harboring. Plus, were do you find your morales and hope, joy? The thing about agnosticism and athiesm is they are, in my opinion and research, cop outs. Its easy to believe in nothing. I know, sounds like Im belittling your beliefs, but thats not what Im intending. In my journey Ive considered different belief structures. Ive found athiesm lacking. Anyway, I wish you the best in your journey.

  • You clearly don’t understand philosophy if you believe atheist or agnostics don’t have a moral compass. Sheeps like you are the problem to society. You think you need a “God” to say your life is precious and valuable. Done. Good day.

So I’ll agree with you my knowledge of the religion is very very thin. However there were some similarities. The whole concept of Oryx and the books of sorrows isn’t related to this one scene in terms of the comparison cause obviously Noah never killed his own god and used his corpse to learn dark powers. The fact is the basic concept of the story of Noah is that god created a wave that would flood the earth. The traveler did the same on fundament. Noah took animals and some of his family on an ark to survive. Oryx (the navigator) took His family and some animals (all be it celestial) the worm gods and escaped. It doesn’t necessarily have to be by the bible parallel the story, just have enough there to be plausible.

my friend even though the christian bible may be the main book of study. never look past the fact that the bible quotes other books not in the bible. look for those books for further knowledge. start with The Book of Enoch.

  • I get you, but that is not how comparisons work. The characters must be of similar tier. The worm gods are just that, worm gods. They are not low tier like animals. I am positive that there are other religions instead that would be closer to the hive/worm/traveler situation than christianity.
