Comp cheese
So basically, there is a method/exploit to get to Legend, by basiaclly getting 2 teams of 4 and finding eachother in comp and have one team continously leave until the other team is Legend, which is when they switch roles. I earned around 600 points yesterday while doing comp because we kept finding 2 teams that were doing this with eachother, but the kept matching us instead so they would just leave. We had this happen around 12 times in one night. Honestly, it's insane how this is not patched or fixed. Win-trading is a game breaking exploits that defeats the purpose and value of comp. There are even dedicated Discord servers for this. Bungie need to fix this, or comp will never be taken seriously.
Update since people are still finding this post: Comp cheese is still a thing and the fact that it’s not fixed is a joke. There are people out there who’ve cheated in multiple seasons and gotten away with it. This isn’t acceptable, it ruins the purpose of comp, and ruins the value of pinnacle weapons and the unbroken title.

Edited by PBFrenchFries: 8/23/2019 7:26:31 AMThis has been a thing since D1. it's only executable because Bungie does not have dedicated servers, the game figures out which person is the best match to be leader to host a game, and people took the time to figure out in what instances and what game lingo makes you host. And considering this works in both D1 and D2 in ALL MATCHMAKING ACTIVITIES (YES, YOU CAN EVEN DO THIS IN GAMBIT) Bungie would have to rebuild match making from the ground up to even fix it. What is Bungie's stance on this? Classed as game manipulation surely? Asking as we had people join our clan, mention "legend carries" which seemed decidedly iffy, and then observed them doing this with two LFG made comp teams... Our Clan doesn't condone achieving something that way (it really isn't an achievement if the results are fixed after all) so we banned those players from our Clan once we were sure this was happening. The thing is we could only tell by looking at the results of other people in their fireteam as the players in question have hidden their results (on Bungie/Destiny tracker) so if said players can/should be reported you can't show their match history to prove it. It isn't right though, when players are earning legend and/pinnacle weapons with 30+ comp win streaks made up of a zero score match. Would appreciate some advice/feedback from a mod if possible. Also I've avoided naming players as that is against forum rules before anyone asks.

Each time they left your match they received a loss of points and after the second time a 30 min timeout. I don’t see how this could ever work unless they are the only people in the queue. They can’t see who is in the match until it’s too late to leave without it getting marked as a loss.
