Accusing me of Cheating? IN SCORCHED??
I was playing my first game on this new Crucible labs game mode and man, I was excited. I get in and instantly start destroying people. This game mode is great, until I get a voice message from a guy saying I’m “hitting all my shots” and he’s “Sending a message to Xbox live and Bungie.” That is the first time I’ve ever heard someone tell me I’m cheating just because I know how to aim with a scorch cannon. Ffs. Anyone else been accused of cheating before on here? Please share your stories. I’d like to hear them. Thanks.

I was literally accused of cheating on this forum 2 hours ago because someone looked up my stats. On Xbox. Like literally called a cheater simply because I have a high KD. People are delusional.

I had a game where I was just spawning into guys who were one shot from death. Probably got ten kills from one shot. Got hate mail but it was just dumb luck.

D1. Had a green LMG that returned ammo on kills and could two tap. I could go a whole match with heavy ammo with that one. Lots and lots of accusations came flying. I always said "look at the gun perks man..."

As soon as you do well i PVP someone is gonna accuse you of cheating. Im a very average player but because of the lack of skillbased mm in QP Ive actually been forced to up my game and Ive progressed as a player in the way i play, think and utilize my abilities in PVP. i watched the better players how they act in different scenarios. Been doing pretty ok in some games as a result. Got my first message ever asking if i was cheating. The guy was not salty though and we parted ways on good terms but i suppose it is some sort of proof Im starting to git gud...well...git better at least. Lol

I got accused of cheating by a guy that kept walking through doors into my prospector grenades I left there. He said "You killed me with heavy from across the map, that's bullshit. Get reported"! I just laughed.

I dodged a golden gun and then killed the dude and his team mate with a sub machine gun, he then proceeded to keep messaging me. You cheated, cheater, I'm reporting you. And that was for about 15 minutes solid. Just apologised for him being bad.

Last night, I was accused of being trash. My first comp game in months since I started grinding valor for the exotic ghost I was clapping everybody on that 4 man team. Just a simple forward path, frostmire hex, and main ingredient. I clutched a few rounds and even wiped them with the fusion rifle. Shaxx freaked out when I killed 10 of them saying they never wanted to match with me again. I finished with 36 kills. The most over everyone by far winning 4-3 The next game we (ironically) match against them again. Not once did they ever separate more than 15 ft from each other. None of them had the guts to get in a 1on1 gunfight. They win 4-1 and one of the warlocks contained more salt than the Dead Sea. He tbagged every time he killed me with graviton I finished with maybe 10 kills while he had 15. And of course 3 of them had the Antiope/ Graviton combo. I was so disgusted. The warlock had the nerve to say I was trash and got carried by my previous teammates I just told him “you must be really mad about the last match. How does it feel to suck WITH the graviton? Now I know for sure you’re pathetic AND dumb”

Just take it to mean you’re doing really well. If people start accusing you of cheating then you’ve reached the pinnacle of pvp

Took it as a compliment though once I realized what he meant. My aim was so good that he thought I had to be using a mouse. (My aim isn’t that good btw, just seems that way when using the GL with it’s catalyst and when the opposing player is quite bad.)

No but people with trash internet say stuff like that. I played with a guy like that I couldn't pvp with him. Because they were always lag switching also un killable. Yet I rarely have issues one in a blue moon but 99% of the time they called cheating on them I didn't have issues with them

1 ReplyDuring the taken king, I would go into Iron Banner (where light level mattered), use only the Necrochasm, and get the score per game every game. Many people accused me of cheating. What they didn’t realize was that the meta revolved around high rof auto rifles, and I didn’t feel like doing trials for Doctrine of Passing. Me and a friend tested it in a private match, and Necrochasm actually killed faster than Doctrine. I told some people on forums but they called me a troll, so I spent the rest of year 2 keeping the secret to myself and dominating every game, even after the nerd to high rof auto’s, where I got even more cheating accusations.

Is there something different about these canons? Because, I used to be able to hit all of the sevitors cross map in wotm, but in this gamemode I can’t hit for sh*t

Yup. I pretty much suck at crucible, so I think it’s hilarious when i get accused. I don’t even know how to cheat if i wanted to. The best though was when I was told “you suck” in PVE from the guy with the most deaths and fewest kills. You name it, I’ve seen it on this game.

Happened a lot in D1 for me. I have always been a really good sniper across FPS' I have played, so naturally I would run with a sniper in my special slot all the time. I used to help carry guys in trials, and this one game I don't think I missed a single shot with my Her Benevolence. Clutched 2 of the 5 rounds and aced 2 others. Whole team ended up messaging me to say they were reporting me.

Crybabies are gonna cry. No matter what. Even in a fun game mode that has no benefit for cheaters. Its just trash players complaining about their mistakes rather than learning from them. Don't even waste a single brain cell worrying about them. P.S.[spoiler]Good job destroying with the scotch canon! [/spoiler]

Get this, we were doing heroic strikes and the modifier was heavy. So me and my teammate load up our Man of War linear fusion rifles (this was before Whisper came out). We were lvl 365 and this guy was a 380 with full raid gear and a Sleeper equipped. I was thinking this was going to be quick. It's Inverted Spire. A great strike for a quick boss kill. At the first boss level, my teammate and I are wrecking with our fusion rifles. The boss would have been dead if genius only shot his sleeper. We fall down to the second level. Genius is right in front of me on the small pedestal. He's still firing his secondary. My teammate and I are hammering the boss with the linears and take him out right there. Immediately I get three voice messages accusing me of hacking the game and how he is going to get us banned on bungie and xbox. The guy was irate. I'm dumbfounded. How can a guy with full raid gear have no understanding of how to use the heavy modifier? Why wouldn't he shoot his Sleeper? I wonder if it's the same guy? Did his game tag have a 420 in it? Just curious.

hasn't happened in scorched, but back in the day in OG BF2, people used to accuse me in the chat for cheating because i would always land my shot with the Magnaguard's Radiation launcher. anyway, guy who accused you of cheating probably doesn't have experience with scorch cannons. I've been rocking them since house of wolves so i have like a 9/10 success rate...
