How can Bungie call Forsaken an update to the game? Updates are for moving forward and making things better. So far from what I can tell the update is a step back. It basically takes Destiny 2 and brings it back to Destiny 1. All of the updates during Destiny 2 have been slowly moving game to be more like Destiny 1. Destiny 2 hardly added any new content to the game. Why are we still fighting Vex, Hive, Fallen, and Taken? We already took out their leadership. It was nice to fight Cabal because we never took on the Cabal leadership. Why give us all these mods to then take them away? Why take away random rolls to then bring them back? Not having random rolls on guns prevented a particular gun type from becoming OP. If you loose a gun fight in the Crucible it's because the other guy was a better shot and not blessed by RNG to get an OP roll on his weapon. Now these random rolls are going to bring back the constant weapon tweaking of D1. This will lead to everyone using the same weapons. Here is a new thought. How about the ability to craft components to improve your gun? Picture being able to tweak your favorite scout rifle by crafting a new stock that improves handling. Then you find a new scope while exploring one of the planets that improves accuracy. Now picture you use your materials and craft a larger magazine for the same scout rifle. I think players would love exploring and grinding for resources to be able to customize their weapons how they want them and not relying on RNG. It is not that much different really than master working an gun other than you can effect more than on aspect of your weapon. Being able to craft components to add to your guns and armor would be an update that moves the game forward.
