Just trying to see what interest EP will hold for Guardians in S4. I seem destined to not be able to get any guns. Was in a great 9 man lobby last night with a few boss kills when the Xbox service shenanigans started, party chat went down, and the group kinda fell apart.
At this point I at least want about 10 more completions to finish the armor sets. In my favor is the fact that id say a lot of people are missing at least 1 gun they want (improved s4 guns be darned, I want that shotgun). And maybe, JUST maybe, reliably being able to farm or at least get completions will be easier with fewer Guardians with our increased power level.

Ep should be easier when we are 600 light so 4-5 manning it might be the norm. Or maybe higher light levels will be irrelevant.

I've been very lucky with the weapon drops. (Have everything but the SMG). But I don't have any complete armor sets yet. Its frustrating trying to get this done. At this point, most people who know the fights and are leveled up enough....already have what they want so they aren't running the content. Those who are running the content are too often not leveled up enough, and don't know the fights. Or are just using EP as a trash mob farm for other catalysts and other bounties.

Probably not. Simply for the reason that when the new dlc comes out I just wanna do the new stuff. I don’t really plan on doing the older raids to give me a power boost. Out with the old in with the new
-
I've done it quite a few times. Gotten boots, class items, a chest piece etc etc. And the shotgun twice. The drop rng sucks, after forsaken I don't see me playing it much.

1 ReplyHope they keep adding loot with each season. Fusion rifle Auto rifle Rocket launcher Side arm Pulse rifle Kinetic hand cannon And maybe armour ornaments or even new armour. Keep the event current and fresh.
-
2 RepliesI think EP will be come more fun when we over level everything.
-
1 Replyis the drop rate that low?.. i've completed it just 6 times, and picked up the sniper and the shotty.. didn't even have a chest key when the shotty dropped..
-
If the awards scale with our new powerlevel otherwise id probably give it a miss.
-
1 ReplyMaybe when I get to a high enough level to easily 3 man it so I don’t have two waste 2 hours trying to get 9 people in a lobby.
-
Depends on how they change (if at all) the loot drops.
-
Yes i would still run it. If there is a full blooming lobby and not just me and 1 guy who starts the event then goes to orbit
-
I will to help put people and maybe get the warlock armor that I didn’t get because reasons.
-
The drop rate is so abysmally low that there is not point wasting time on it, in my eyes.

3 RepliesEdited by Lord_Shar: 8/23/2018 12:28:29 AMUPDATE: I finally located a Bungie post officially stating that no Year-1 weapons will be getting any random rolls: https://www.pcgamer.com/bungie-on-why-cayde-6-must-stay-dead-and-how-the-raid-will-be-the-ultimate-culmination-of-destiny-2-forsaken/
If a Better Devils drops in year two, will it now have random perks? Or will it be like it was in Year 1? And we can bring the power up through infusion? Taylor: The random rolls are gonna be focused on the Year 2 weapons, but you can infuse the Year 1 weapons and bring them with you. If you love Better Devils, by all means bring it, but you won't be getting those random perks. Will those Year 1 weapons no longer be dropping? Taylor: They will still drop, but they won't have those random perks.
I believe this is a HORRIBLE, short-sighted design decision specifically geared at pushing Forsaken sales only. A direct consequence is the removal of any re-playability of prior year-1 content. Why bother farming any Year-1 content when all that drops will be garbage? ***/INSERT SLOW CLAP*** Yep, this kills Escalation Protocol farming, so please change my vote from "yes, I have all the loot" to "Why the heck did I buy this game?"

No. I play to have fun and grinding endless EPs is not fun.
-
Nope, probably not ever again. Got a full set of Armor for my Warlock and all weapons but the SMG, which will eventually be passed by. To be honest I always felt like it was a failed experiment.
-
Havent played since solstice dropped as i got sick of seeing people in green and blue armour
-
I have never been able to do it since it's exceedingly more difficult to make a fireteam for that than it is for Raids, and I don't foresee that changing in Forsaken, so that's going to be a no from me, Dawg.
-
Not a chance - I’ll be deleting everything associated with this nightmare year when forsaken drops
-
.....Hell no

1 ReplyIf the weapons are still worth having compared to new weapons...and I can still slip into a random group while hanging on mars... then yes I will still try get at least one weapon. So far with no reward drops it has been a fun but colossal waste of man hours.
-
As a non-end-gamer, I only got to the right level after I earned my SOH Armor. I’m having an absolute blast, even though I have only have a handful of completions under my belt. I totally intend to jump in whenever possible, at least until the light level bumps me out of contention.
-
Yes - I need to finish worldline masterwork and still trying to get the shotgun.
-
Yes, I have 328 shaders and not a single weapon drop. Scared to do the math to see how many boss kills.
-
Probably not unless my friends need to try and find a group. I made sure I got my guns when I realized that a total drought might happen for EP. That being said... more like... who is going to run Prestige SoS on LFG? Because I haven't managed to get a clear yet and it's pretty hard to get a group for it. It'll be very dead if the raid remains as hard (or, at least, Hunter focused) as it does right now.
