For those saying that overused doesn't equal overpowered....i'm afraid that is the case for Destiny 2.
Let me rephrase this post. Cause clearly some of you are not understanding what I am saying....
To defend my logic...
Right now, the traveler’s judgement is not everywhere in the crucible because most people don’t know how good it might be.
NOW there is a difference between something being OP and something that can counter something.
If the traveler’s judgement can counter a GL, then I wouldn’t class it as OP. The difference with GL is that it can out shoot pretty much anything. Even 2 burst some people.
IF the travelers judgement could 2 shot people, let’s just say, it WOULD be OP. I mean, a sidearm that could 2 shot people? Insane! And guess what? When people find out that it can 2 shot people, they WILL use the weapon to easily dominate in the crucible and have a great advantage. The weapon will become OVERUSED. If people know that they have access to a 2 shot sidearm....they will use it PERIOD. When people see the opportunity to wield an OVERPOWERED weapon, they WILL take it!
See my logic? When the weapon is discovered to be OVERPOWERED it will become OVERUSED.
If a terrible weapon was overused, of course it wouldn't be overpowered. You should look at my reasoning in the bigger picture and not take it so literal.
The thing is though, in this game, NO ONE will use a terrible weapon, why should they if it gives them a disadvantage? A terrible weapon WILL NOT be overused. That's a fact.
Most of you took my post so literal in the sense that in general, THE MOMENT a weapon is overused it is overpowered. NO.
IN THIS GAME, when a weapon is OVERUSED it is usually the one that is OVERPOWERED.
Please, you MUST be able to understand this. I cannot make it any simpler to understand :D

I think we should judge the whole meta=op on a case by case basis, as in the og mythoclast was op when it first came out by having far and above dmg vs other weapons of the day, same could be said of the thorn/last word meta of yr 1. By contrast however both in d1 and d2 the mida was overused for a time and the literal gimmick of the mida is that its supposed to be a flawlessly balanced scout rifle thats very easy to use, but the mida has never been nor will ever be the “strongest” scout in destiny, i agree that graviton is very strong but i think that particular weapons problem rests with the ease of use vs being hidiously stronger than all kinectic/energy weapons.
