Ok, so I did it. I just pre-ordered Forsaken, even though a few months ago, I was adamant that I wouldn't buy it until after it was released, so I could wait for other people to provide some feedback.
But I went and did it anyway, and here's why:
We all know Destiny 2 was a bit of a flop at first, and we made it very clear to Bungie how we felt. They didn't really listen... So after a few months of putting up with their bullshit promises, like many others I had enough. I stopped playing D2 all together.
I came back recently to check out some of the changes, and I was actually quite impressed. A lot of things have gotten better, and more improvements are coming. It actually feels like Bungie is listening for a change. The game feels more fluid, has more interesting things to do, I'm really enjoying PvP again, and I've had a lot of fun doing all kinds of end-game type activities. I'm not even talking about the raid (I still don't bother with that).
Even more recently, playing the Solstice event, I found Destiny 2 fun to play again. I'm enjoying my time in Destiny (outside of some of the very grindy things they've put in).
That, combined with the roadmap (which they've mostly stuck to) has restored my faith in Bungie.
They actually got me excited about the expansion, and what ever content the season pass will bring.
So I'm in. I'm ready to go when Forsaken is released. Hopefully they won't screw it up.
