Every season is going to have a new weapon to grind competitive for so there will be a new weapon in season 4 to grind for.
The claymore is going away but the broadsword is the exact same gun with a quest anyone can do so you're not really missing out on anything.

which is stupid as hell. every new season should INTRODUCE a new gun to grind for, not replace the old one. it makes people who want to collect things feel like they HAVE to play all the time

Um.... well...yeah if you want to collect the items they are offering. I’m not a PvP focal person, but I like the fact that this is attainable by all skill levels of players, but the more skilled you are or your team is, the easer the task. Game retention is their goal and when you only offer things during the season and nowhere else, that’s exactly what you will need to do. Game.
