The MOST IMPORTANT FACT here is this:
All of your grinding will be worthless when Destiny 3 drops. So to those PvP'ers bitching about all that time grinding Comp in Season 3... GG your gun won't matter.
And to those anti-PvP'ers bitching about the extensive quest in Season 4... GG your gun won't matter.
I was attached to my weapons and armor in Destiny 1. Kept my most prized weapons in my vault. Then Bungie meme-faced me and said, "What vault?" So I'm not attached to shit in this game. If I don't get something, I don't care. If I get something, I don't care.
THAT'S the bigger picture here. Everything you want sooooo bad, WON'T. F'ING. MATTER.

Totally agree with you. I myself was attached to the gear I earned in D1 only for Bungie to discard it like the useless virtual trash it really was. I play D2 differently now. There was a time I'd have grinded for the Redrix but not anymore. Fool me once Bungie, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Truth.

Well why should you play any game or do anything then? Nothing will matter when the sun dies.

There's a difference in not understanding and disagreeing. My point was if you think like that, why spend time doing anything you enjoy? This stuff happens all the time.

Edited by GargleDeezNutz: 8/20/2018 1:54:11 PMYou're the reason they do this shit.
This stuff happens all the time
IT DOESN'T HAVE TO! everything in a video game can be designed and controlled, if I like my vex mythoclast from D1, all the dev's have to do is bring over that data to D2, and D3. They don't, because they are lazy.
there's a difference in
thinking because certain things happen all the time, it's impossible to break the status quo.
-
This stuff has been happening long before I was born. Sequels have always been a thing, and they always will be. You're seriously delusional if you think otherwise.
-
The thing is that they wouldn't have just moved 2 or 3 guns in. People would have whined no matter what with a "why isn't _ going into d2" and they would be forced to convert every single gun. The amount of work to convert every gun to a even slightly tweaked engine would have been more than they could handle in the time frames they were given to make this.
-
so what you are saying is they over committed, and we overpaid for their over commitment. got it.
-
Not sure what you mean by over committed... but also this is from someone who plays a lot of mmo or similar game archetypes. Gear will always be replaced if you want new content it's the double edged sword of you will normally have to let go of gear.
-
that's the whole purpose of the infusion system. if i liked my vex mythoclast i should be able to keep it and infuse new gear from d2 to get my d1 gear up to the new max level.

But again importing models/abilities/etc. Can take a lot of bug fixing if importing so many weapons to a different game.
