They made mega salamence and garchomp, I think shuckles a pretty good possibility. And uber? Pfft, that's just sweep material. Shuckle ftw.

Salamence and garchomp are both pseudo legendaries. Shuckle is not. Next should technically be mega hydreigon and/or mega goodra. And lol ok try using shuckle in ubers. See what happens

Yeah megas ruined the meta. Fairy types too. Though if you just want to chill out with some old fashion battling without having to do any grinding, I recommend trying pokemon showdown. You can generate any pokemon you want and even set what gen you want to battle in if you don’t like the newer stuff

I see, that sounds pretty interesting. I'm pretty sure nobody likes fairy types if I'm being honest with you. It turned Pokemon that used to suck into pain in the asses. Fighting clefables with a team without poison or steel (the worst types in the game) is hell.

I mostly agree with that but... Steel? Bad typing? That’s a funny joke. Mega mawile dude. 210 base attack STAB bullet punch. That sh*t hurts everything, not just fairy types. It’s similar with mega scizor. And celesteela wouldn’t be one of the best defensive pokemon there is if it weren’t for it being a steel type. But yeah poison is still pretty garbage. Even toxapex would be better if it were just pureblood water. The weakness to ground makes poison types pretty much unusable in this meta and actually a lot of the past metas too. So yeah pokemon showdown is free on pc. You don’t even need to download anything it’s just a browser game.

Steel type STAB moves are not weak. Iron tail, bullet punch, flash cannon, iron head, heavy slam, and gyro ball are some examples that are not only just good for steel types to have but are also sought out on pokemon of other types. Pureblood steel used to be one of the best defensive typings, but in this ground type infested meta it doesn’t do as much defensively anymore. However dual type steel pokemon are great offensively and defensively. They resist a very large amount of other types and are one of the two typings that deal super effective damage to fairy types. Having an advantage to rock isn’t a bad thing either But honestly, in this meta the only types good for purebloods are water and fairy. Any other purebloods have to have some kind of gimmick to be good. Or just have to be really good pokemon with good stats, a diverse movepool, and a useful ability
