I think it would be better if they had reduced stats on the broadsword but still have the same perks so that way the broadsword CAN have the perk barrel etc or mod BUT if you want a better feel/handling or stability the claymore if the best for it, that way everyone gets to experience the desperado perk without us with claymore feeling cheated and that way they dont have to somehow upgrade the claymore in some way

That sounds good, but if you think about it, that would create more anger. If it’s only as good as a Year 1 Weapon in Year 2, it wouldn’t be relevant compared to every other Year 2 Weapon coming to Destiny 2.

It’s better to just leave Broadsword as a Year 2 Weapon as powerful as any other Year 2 Weapon, or better.
