I saw Gambit gameplay for Code of The Missile, and the ballistic slam looked like it couldn't even kill a legionary. I'm a bit worried now. My reason for this is because you also have to run and activate it, while also jumping. That's quite a bit of requirements for a melee that can't kill a legionary...

They're pretty under leveled I believe in the gambit gameplay

3 RepliesNot gonna lie, I laugh every time I see the animation because I think of Mario with the jump sound effect and Mario yelling " ya hoo"

Edited by Marz: 8/19/2018 1:33:37 PMThey should implement supers that remain in first person. Similar to the radiance in destiny 1, you revive. Then grenades and kills generate orbs. All the supers last the same time as radiance Work on this. Titan - awaken the solar within you and burst into flames, enemies within a certain distance take exceptional burn damage (you remain in first person, allowing you to shoot whilst your super clears enemies near you) Hunter - become one with void, turns yourself into a roaming tether, the tether distance is really short but allows you to run into a mass of enemies and come out brushing the dust of your shoulder. Warlock - call down the thunder, absorb electric and release it, causing a huge arc explosion surrounding you. (Either make this a one time deal or allow you to run around with aftershock surrounding you) You know In infinity war where the monsters are rampaging into wakanda? Thor here covered in them and releases that big ball of lightning? Makes the enemies go flying as if shooting them with tractor cannon, just for giggles.

13 RepliesDoes anyone else think "Code of the Missile" is a terrible name? Your other Codes are Earth-shaker and Juggernaut. They couldn't even call it "Code of the Sidewinder" or "Code of the Meteor". Or my favorite "Code of the Skyseeker". Anyway, we know it's not a OHK melee like the less involved shoulder charge. Let's hope that since it's a mini FoH it also comes with a mini Aftershock.

Looks like the most stupid and useless supers. In pve will be useless
-
2 RepliesShoulder charge cant kill a legionairy either. Neither can GG in 1 shot....
-
1 ReplyI have been watching videos. It is hare to tell in most. I figure we will have no more than a week before a hotfix drops and changes many things. In d1 pvp when you saw or knew a super was coming you knew you were toast. Now you can jump aside from most incoming supers and have chance. I would expect more of the same.

4 RepliesWarlocks new Super... One of the videos he explodes in a group of Vandals.. you clearly see one just get pushed back and brush it off.
-
1 ReplyThey will probably make it do the same damage as shoulder charge. That gameplay was from a pre-warmind build.
-
That would just mean it fits perfectly into D2 where every ability has the impact of a fart in a storm.
-
13 RepliesYES. I've made a few posts on this in the past. It should at least be able to kill a legionary.
-
It’s an AOE. It does less damage to a specific target because it does damage to all targets in the area
-
5 RepliesOr... you could be a Warlock. :D
-
If it works with Dunemarchers, it will probably be ok. There has to be more to it than what's apparent right now. Maybe a debuff like Melting Point.

Ballistic Slam grants super energy so I’m not surprised is doesn’t look like it can kill a legionary. But in saying that, not even shoulder charge can OHK a legionary without mods so it doesn’t seem underpowered at all. Besides, the shoulder charge abilities in D2 were never about dealing high damage. All three had unique effects that were useful in their own way. Seems as if shoulder charge went from burst damage to AoE status effect.

1 ReplyCan also take in to account of new exotic armor that buffs the new super in some way.
-
9 RepliesYet again another useless super that really should be called a mediocre, I've often wondered do bungie really play test these supers, and actually think they're good.
-
There is no other charged melee that can kill a full health legionary. But, with Ballistic Slam, you can almost kill an entire group of them insteas of just one. It has its uses. Get over it.
-
1 ReplyI‘m curious if it is like the one hit shoulder charge coming in forsaken.
-
I mean it's only a melee most full charged melee abilities don't kill in high level activities
-
4 RepliesWhat I'm curious about is whether it still has that range drop off that it had in D1. If it were more like the hunters that seems to not have any I can see why it's not a oneshot. You move pretty damn fast and from the sky, so just being inexplicably oneshot would be absolutely frustrating. Not an excuse in PvE of course but there's also more potential in that space to begin with. The PvE balance is still strange to me as it focuses too much on fighting with math because RPG. Abilities for as long as the cooldowns are, and especially if they actually take some skill to use should be more effective.

1 ReplyHard to tell. Every video of it I’ve seen there’s a potato operating the guardian.
-
5 RepliesSynthoceps and then slam into a crowd of six titans and you would probably nuke them.
-
I think it's effectiveness comes from the area if effect. Looks like it has knock back and a bit of stun as well. I hope it has utility if it isn't strong damage.
-
That was gameplay in the builds with lesser melee damage. I'd imagine/hope it's better.
-
6 RepliesI believe they said it won’t be as powerful as the other Titan charged melee abilities, it will also be the only shoulder change ability that won’t be able to one shot players in the crucible.
