DOS Attackers - Competitive Playlist
Competitive at the moment is trash. You have players who in any other scenario would not even be in contention for the redrix yet they dos their way to fabled rank. I have numerous videos that show me being dos'd and the players in the lobby doing it backed up by my ISP report confirming the attack yet all we have is a report function that is not very functional.
These players should be banned and their consoles blocked. They are basically doing an illegal activity which is in violation of Bungie's, PSN and their ISP's terms and conditions. Yet this no witch hunting, ability to hide their previous games via privacy settings has set up a perfect environment for these cheaters to prosper.
Bungie, I love your game. When I am not working I am playing it. These people are ruining the experience for many players and a lot of them are of the opinion that Bungie are toothless in this regard.
Give us meaningful ways to report and show us decisive action against people that are exploiting the network to gain an unfair advantage.
So far I have been DOS'd 8 times in the last 2 days. My friends numerous times as well. It is the same group of people and they are doing it blatantly, please do something.
If anyone from Destiny cares, I have various videos of me being DOS'd so they can investigate the people in question. I also have reports from my ISP to back up every single time it's happened.

Not only does dosing and ddosing violate scumgies,psn and their isp's tos it's actually a federal crime as it falls under the patriot act as it's classified as cyber terrorism so when they get caught they'll have the FBI/CIA knocking on their door. I'd send the video proof to Sony so that they can then notify the proper authorities. People shouldn't be allowed to get away with this kind of stuff honestly if people have to cheat to win instead of relying on their own skills then they should't be playing games at all

Weeks of being able to stay even in comp. after a post pointing out cheating & paid recovery’s killing the experience & bungies lack of action on it and guess what? My guns have turned in to water guns in competitive. No damage. Can’t win. Massively rigged games. Drained of a complete rank and 300 points. For asking why I’m forced to play against cheaters & people exploiting the system.

Kinda mirrors society. Not enough discipline these days, so they'll continue to keep doing it and getting away with it. Bungie most likely ain't worried about it, they just want the $$ from your pocket for the next DLC. I love this game too, but it's definitely still pretty flawed.

they need to implement a system where you can refuse to be matched with certain players again. then the cheaters will have no one to match with and their wait times in orbit will take forever or time out all together. or it will be a bunch of cheaters seeing who can ddos who first.

Just checked, there’s 10 posts up right now charging $$ for Redrix recovs. One guys charging 200$ guarantees 24 hr. So he can get that gun for anyone in 24 hr doing it legit? Lol! Bungie has people advertising on their own forums doing this. You really think they care?

Bungie lacks the capacity and willpower to address the cheaters in an accurate way. I assume that they [b]are[/b] toothless: it's one more PR nightmare they can avoid by not banning PvP players, because it means no one will be wrongfully terminated from the activity. Maybe they're working on a fix, maybe not. I wish we knew.

For those that have commented that there’s no way I could of been dos’d as I wouldn’t be able to record it have never been dos’d or attempted it. Happy to post links that I have uploaded in addition to screen grabs from my phone where my isp confirms it.

2 RepliesDo you report them through pan or Xbox live. They have more power to block consoles and gamer tags than bungie do and usually are more actively seeking to do so

Not just comp. Tried to jump back in with a clan mate for the armor. Yeah. Ended up sitting at a black screen for the last few mins of the match. Spawned back in right before the match ended, all my stats were at 0. Prior to that, I was second on the team. My clanmate was first and his eff was like 5.0

1 ReplyI don’t think you’re getting a DOS attack. That would mean that your entire network would probably go down. But they must be doing SOMETHING that will kick you off the game. With the game being P2P, anything is possible. Or you may just be getting a DOS attack and I don’t know what the hell I’m talking about.

Sweats won't be able to do it in Trials so they've moved to competitive. Maybe they'll shelve competitive too. The sooner Trials dies the better.

3 Repliesthe problem with Bungie as with every corporation, they are afraid of losing even $1 by banning someone. Albertsons/Safeway have a policy of not even stopping you at the door if your stealing. They trespass people but wont enforce it, because they might lose a $1. So instead of stopping/arresting they take a product loss rather than an income loss. Not realizing its costing them more in product loss. They even closed a local store because the theft outweighed the money coming in. But they still refused to stop it. Bungie is afraid if they ban people, word would get around in the cheater community that you will be caught and banned. So they wont buy the game. SO instead bungie will lose their customers whom have morals that wont cheat than lose a cheater.

4 RepliesHonest question here, are you on console? If so and you got DDoS'd how did you record it? It's my understanding that when it happens all your internet at home is affected. Doesn't it log you out of your console making it not possible to record? If not then I would assume it's not a DDoS attack but something else.
