CARRIES START AT 10 A.M. PST FRIDAY AND WILL BE RUNNING TIL 10 A.M. PST MONDAY. LETS GET IT!
If you would like help, message me on here and on Friday, I will add and inv each person in the order received for a GUARANTEED carry. You dont need any fancy loadouts, or paypal bs, or to follow Twitch or whatever.
I've done over 80 solo carries (solo meaning the people never made it to the 1st room) and have solo'd heroic as well. My solo runs finish with 4-6 minutes remaining, so yes, I can guarantee success 100% of the time.
Just trying to help out those struggling. See you on Friday :)

As requested, a detailed breakdown of my strategy to solo this encounter:
My Loadout:
Midnight Coup
Valakydan (Void for Alcolytes)
Whisper with Catalyst
Jumping Puzzle Breakdown:
Upon spawning in, run forward and jump onto the rock nearby. Turn and face the entrance, look up and youll see a little spike you can jump to. From there, look to the right of where you spawn and you'll see a small opening. Leap to it, carefully avoiding the tree, and shoot the blight. A hole will be underneath it and you drop right in.
From there, I follow the path until the first punching block. I run at it and leap off of the tip of the left corner, timing my jumps to land on the second platform/island. This allows me to avoid the wall below full of punchers. Jump to the next platform and then go around the corner to the right. On the next area, you can move through two sets of moving walls using a lightweight weapon if you move the second they start pulling in. This saves seconds which adds up. Jump on the elevating platform and ride it up, being weary of the puncher hidden above it. After landing on the ledge, follow the wall until it turns left. Go through the opening to the next area.
You will find yourself at a red hallway with many moving pieces. There are two distinctive pieces here, trident like spears above, and small blocks on the floor. When the block reaches its lowest point, run (dont crawl or walk) through to the next wall. If on a Hunter or Titan you can glide off the side and back around to avoid the second block. Warlocks will want to crouch so they avoid the spear and move when the block is clear.
The next room has two taken vandal snipers that can normally be ignored. You will see Taken blasts on a series of ledges ahead of you. You can jump to every other one to make this easier on yourself. To time this out, wait for the first blast to go off and then make your jump past it and to the next ledge. If you time this properly, the second blast will go off just before you land, missing you. There will be a closing door on the final jump. Wait for it to close and then leap toward it. It will open just as you reach it allowing you to quickly exit the room.
The next area you find yourself in will have a bunch of wormholes on both walls. Your target is the farthest top right one. Simply follow the upper ledge on the right all the way there and drop in.
The next area is a massive green room with grass and a globe in the center. Immediately upon walking into this room, keep your eyes on the bottom right corner of the floor. You will come across a lightbar and can crouchwalk against it, or slide along it to find a secret shortcut. Once inside your flashlight will turn on. You'll need to waddle your way down a little hole. Follow the pathway to the right two turns and youll see a divide between the walls leading outside. There will be a ring like edge you can follow around to the left and a diving board surface at the end. Far below this is a small gap you can land inside. From here, two simple jumps will get you to the first enemy room. I tend to arrive here between 16:00 and 17:00 mimutes remaining.
Enemy Room 1:
I use Whisper now, but before I used Sleeper and it produced the same results. Upon entering this room, ignore the Blights and Thrall and jump up onto the tall rock to the left. Immediately aim to the right and take out the Vandal who spawns in the back. After, slowly strafe left using the blight as cover until you can see the 2nd Vandal in the back left.
You'll see a Captain the left closer to you than the. 2nd Vandal. Take him out, being cautious of his Darkness Bolt. I tend to tank one just to ensure he doesnt spam me and dies quickly. From there, go to the left tip of the platform you're on and you'll see a 2nd Captain on the far right. You can snipe him from there. If you're low on Heavy Ammo at this point, run forward and grab the drops from the other 3 Majors you just killed and re-setup.
Now go down and carefully dispatch the Thrall. Grenades work wonders if you get swarmed, you can jump back onto your rock. Once enough die, the new adds will spawn in. I destroy the mob group on the Bottom Left side first (in a tunnel). Try to prioritize the Goblins as their immunity ray burns through your timer. If you see the Vandals pop a bubble, dont be scared to rush in and beat them down. Its faster than waiting. From there, seek refuge in the left tunnel you just cleared out and carefully defeat the adds in the Middle of the room.
Now, you remember the tip of the left platform you sniped that right Captain from? Go back there, and kill the newly spawned adds in the same area on the Far Right. That will leave about 3 Vandals and a Goblin near the exit. Melee them down and move forward. I tend to leave this room at 14:00 but 13:00 is perfectly manageable as well.
Second Room:
Immediately run to the Right and follow it into a small cave in the back. From there, patiently kill the Vandals and 2 Captains. Grenades help alot, and breaking the Captains shields with Solar does great splash damage. Do NOT waste your super here. It's not worth it.
Third Room:
This will be from an Arc Striders perspective, buy the enemy priority is the focus here. I personally believe Hunter to be the most efficient here. The enemy Priority is Wizards (due to shadow thrall spam), Hobgoblins, Knights, and finally Acolytes.
Upon entering the room, run past the Knight on the Right and charge the 1st Wizard. From there, jump foward and kill the 2nd Wizard. Quickly go up again and spear all 4 Hobgoblins in a straight line. At the end, jump down and kill the 3rd Wizard. If done successfully you'll have a little super left. I use that to kill both sets of nearby Acolytes in the middle of the room.
From here, I make my way back up to where the Hobgoblins were, specifically where the first Hobgoblin was, and kill the Knight closest to you on the Right side of the room (sides based on entering the room, not reverse PoV). Move over to his body, and you'll see the 2nd Knight across the room on the Upper Left. After him, move even further down and you'll see a 3rd Knight not far from the 2nd Knight. Now look down and kill the 4th Knight, the one you originally ran past in the very beginning on the ground level.
Clean up the Acolytes, and destroy the Blight near the exit. This should be your 1st Blight you've killed all mission. Destroy the barrier and kill the Hobgoblin directly in front of you. Run forward and then immediately turn around and jump back into the room. Two Phalanxes will have spawned, take them out. Now walk forward again. There are 2 Hobgoblins to the upper left. Take them out.
Here you have two options. You can actually skip the Scions and just go down the hole if you'd like. Only the Hobgoblins are required to progress. However, I kill the Scions to get my super as it makes the next part insanely easy. The choice is yours. I tend to have 9:00 to 11:00 minutes remaining at this point.
Final Room-Boss Room:
Upon entering this room I kill all the enemies BUT ONE. If you have your super thanks to the Scions, use it and priotize the Centurion doing your best to leave a single. Phalanx alive. This is because the bosses will not spawn if a single add is alive. Killing all the adds is the trigger. Make your way around the room and take out all the Blights to prevent the bosses from using them as cover. Standing on the Blight itself will nullify the damage from it, allowing you to kill it safely.
Once the Blights are down, take out the last enemy and fall back to the sloped hill where you landed upon entering the room. There are 2 Sniper Vandals on the Far Left that can hit you, so I like to take them out. A Taken Captain Mini-Boss will be your first target and priority. Use your Heavy weapon and do everything you can to bring him down. He's very dodgy, and by far the worst part of this encounter. Be sure to switch to your Primary and take out and Axion Darts you see, as ignoring them can prove fatal. If you run out of heavy, make a suicide run to grab some, and if theres none at all, switch to Polaris Lance.
Your 2nd Target will be the Taken Centurion Mini-Boss. He has a very noticable rotation pattern. He'll start in Middle typically, and rotate between there and to the Right. Whenever you seem him disappear to the Right, follow him by Strafing and keep going back and forth to keep constant damage. Be very mindful of Axion Darts.
You'll find the 3rd Target on the Left. It will be a Taken Knight Mini-Boss who LOVES to hide behind the rocks. Maintain consistent DPS on him and be patient. If he hides, rush him and he'll move.
5 RepliesThank you for your help in getting me through Whisper man, absolute weapon of a guardian and a literal gift to the community. It’s a great thing you’re doing. Regards
-
1 ReplyOk I’m am not great at timed events. I stumble like crazy. So me and a buddy tried to get the whisper. And it does not go well. And then this guy take time out of his personal day to help out strangers. It’s nice to know that there is genuinely nice people out there. And thanks again angel in hell you’re a beast.
-
5 RepliesNot only did this man contact me back for a carry, but he waited for nearly an hour with a full party to have a blight spawn. And when he saw how long the wait was going to be, he hooked me up with a friend that had an open spot, so I could get through. Our runs ended within seconds of each other in success with around 6:30 left. AngelxInxHell is as good as his word and then some. Huge shout out and thanks to both you and assassin for being outstanding people.

This dude is 100% legit he was a great help. Definitely a 10 out of 10

Edited by ScribeTheMad: 8/18/2018 4:08:11 PMThis would be so amazing if anyone is still running it, I should be on for a number of hours today. ScribeTheMad, and to be fair I've been playing solo since I moved to PS4 so I've never actually joined a fireteam on this system so I apologize in advance if I'm a little slow and figuring out how to do that. edit: msged stnbooth below

I just want to thank stnbooth for his help this morning. He assisted me and someone else in getting the whisper. It is people like this that make this a great community

Just wanted to give a big shout-out to all the sherpas in this thread, in particular AngelXInXHell for starting this thread and stnbooth who helped me get it last night. I'd been in the mission once before and had watched a few videos so I thought I'd do OK in the jumping puzzle but I struggled! Luckily for me stnbooth and our third, Arkham-something (sorry, I forgot your full gamer tag!) were awesome. By the time I caught up to them they had cleared the first two rooms and were well into the final room. I managed to get some licks in on the bosses and we finished with several minutes to spare. People like these sherpas are superstars and make being part of a video game community fun. So of course now that I have the Heroic available I immediately went in again on my own to practice the jumping puzzle. I've managed to get as far as the second fight but I'm definitely not going to be completing this solo any time soon. I want to be able to pull my own weight and since the sherpas are likely swamped with requests for help to get the gun I was thinking that the people who were helped should group up and work through the Heroic together. I see a few posts along these lines already so I'll probably hit some of you up today. My PSN is the same as here so feel free to message me if you were the beneficiary of a carry and want to work on the Heroic. We'll probably struggle and need to run it a few times but hey, at least we don't have to wait for the blight!
-
Is anyone available to help me today pls.
-
If anyone wants to join me and my partner we will be doing it now. Weve gotten to the last of the bosses with a third of his health left so weve nearly nailed it. If anyone wants to give give it a shot then give me a shout on PSN as above, no mic needed. We will keep going till we get it.
