How to increase your chances for Strike Catalysts
Some of you may know this, but if you are hunting down the Strike Catalysts you will have an easier time doing this:
• Run the Prestige Nightfall and get to AT LEAST 110,000 (bonus threshold) Trust me, it isn't as hard as you think.
• After doing so, every time you do the Prestige Nightfall your drop rate will be increased for these Catalysts based on that high score [b] regardless of the score you get in runs afterwards. It is all based on your ALL TIME high score in that specific Nightfall[/b].
• Run the Prestige Nightfall with no Power handicap, Heavyweight. Easy peasy. Strike Catalysts will still be rare, but you'll have the best possible chance to get one once you've reached 110,000 for that specific Nightfall.

[b] EDIT: [/b]Trying to find sources to confirm this other than my word being: I've done 600-700 Heroic Strikes, 1 Catalyst, never seeing anyone else get one. 13 Prestige Nightfalls after reaching a score above 110,000 to receive another and a player with me got another a couple runs after that.

Here's a link to an interview with a guy on DCP who grinded Prestige Nightfalls for all 5. He mentioned DMG tweeting that high scores affect drop rates. He doesn't clarify if his score was at least 110,000+ however. The discussion starts around 11:10. Again, the Catalysts will still be rare, but your best chances will be by doing this trick. Even if you don't believe this trick, just do one high score run (110,000), it's not as hard as you may think, then Prestige Nightfalls with no handicap and Heavyweight. It may take 100 to get your first one, but that's better than 600-700 in Heroic Strikes. I'll continue to find more sources.

I got mine all 5 strike catalyst after bungie buff heroic strikes drop. 4 drop on heroic strikes. 1 drop on prestige NF 200k+score.

It could be that waiting for Bungie to increase drop rates is faster.

Its still all RNG even though Bungie said a higher prestige NF score increases your chances. Knowing them it increases the chances by only 0.5% since they are so rare. I have all of them except Merciless and each one has dropped from completing a Heroic strike.

4 of mine came from heroics and 1 from a night fall, when i had aquired them all i had about 7k tokens, i always booned up so with an average of atleast 10 tokens it was about 140 strikes per catalyst drop. As far as the threshold bonus i dont know if that affects the catalyst drop chance, it absolutely affects the nightfall loot drop chance from my experience so it could possibly be true but since i got most of mine from heroics i cant confirm or deny. I have a friend who has 4k tokens and has 4/5 catalysts and most of his came from heroics aswell, we have the threshold on all but 2 nightfalls but im not sure if that affects overall drop chance in that particular strike be it nightfall or heroic. Rng is gunna be rng i guess

I've done both only got 1 best thing three of coins and stay in strikes do not leave but the last part don't quote me but I thought they said staying in increases drop rate like rep in d1 so just be patient
