or bungie could give us the original d1 subclasses back....

We don’t need the subclasses to be the way they were in d1. Sure, the current ones have drawbacks but the d1 ones did too. I’d rather see the current forms iterated on to add progression and potentially customization options rather than revert to the old system.

d1/d2 subclass trees both could have been greatly improved on but not having sunsinger, defender and blade dancer in d2 takes away from player fun and how we could approach activities in this game

Them not being in the game doesn’t bother me. I can see why people have various levels of disappointment with the decision to take them out though but I’ve always thought it’s a different game so I never expected a carbon copy for any of the systems. I feel like the weapon changes impacted players decisions and fun far more than the super changes and I’m happy they’re giving players more free reign over load outs. They also mentioned supers are getting changes and buffs so I want to see what happens in forsaken. I do wish some of the things they seem to be adding in the mod system were tied to permanent progression in the subclass system instead.

The new weapon system and mod system should add some fun to the game and give us some new ways to play. I hope the changes to supers are major and something we can notice right away

I think the weapon changes will be good, not sure that the changes to the existing supers will be as drastic as you want them but I’m hoping the new ones are fun to use and add some good options to each class that might not be present in the game now. It seems that we have similar opinions on what we want from the game I just always try to push back or get more information when someone asks for something from d1 cause I’d always rather they strive for a third option of improving on what’s in the game now to make it better than the current system and the one from d1.

I don't want drastic changes just something to improve on the one's we already have. As for the new sub classes all of them look to be fun just not the new gunslinger. i'll have to play with that for a while and see. There are some good aspects from d1 I did enjoy and would like to see come back but overall what they seem to be doing is a step in the right direction (weapon slot changes, improving on sub classes)

Ok, I may have misinterpreted something then, my thoughts are just that the changes to the pre-existing subclasses probably aren’t going to change play style that much but instead maybe a perk or two will be changing and damage output tweaked to complete with the new weapon system. I think for a new gameplay experience people are going by to have to try out the new supers and I agree they do look promising but I want to wait and see how they feel first. The weapon system I am excited about and I think from what they’ve shown it has potential to be the best system of the franchise so far if it’s implemented properly.

I would have to watch the last stream again to be 100% sure about what's going to be changed with the current sub classes. I do remember golden gun is getting a duration buff not sure about everything else.

THIS. The new subclasses should have been added as additional choices to the originals and not as (at least partially subpar) replacements.

Absolutely! Anything would have been better than what we ended up getting. I'm a big proponent of player choice. Give us the option to choose, Bungie! You want the D1 super you know and love? It's yours! You want to try out something new and exciting? It's yours! You want to toggle back and forth depending on the situation? Have at it!
