It's a bit absurd that there really is no way to be a PvE player, exclusively.
PvP houses some of the best PvE equipment and it's quite non-sensible to have to play crucible to get ahead in PvE content.
Example: Polaris Lance. The Polaris Lance has absolutely no president in PvP, the weapon was designed specifically for PvE so why should we go into crucible to get it?
Solstice armour: Sure, solstice is about reviewing what we've done for the last year but why should I play crucible to get 400 light armour, if light doesn't matter in PvP? Light level exclusively effects PvE content so why should I sit down for 5 wins, 30 super kills, 10 guardian kills, and reach legend rank for armour that won't effect PvP, at all?
Not only are there silly challenges to get ahead in PvE but the crucible engram pool holds weapons that have absolutely no use in PvP but have very high president in PvE like the Better Devils, Nature of the Beast, and Last Perdition. Odds are, if you're a PvE player, you don't enjoy crucible. Yet, you have to play it to get something for your PvE set.

Edited by Nike: 8/11/2018 10:29:33 AMSolstice combines all the aspects in the Destiny universe, and the Crucible is a huge part, so I believe it should not be omitted from this event. If you want to participate in this event, then you should participate in all of its glory. Or you can just skip the crucible by skipping the event. We're going to blow past 400 in the update if you care about the power level ~TheGreatNike

“Oh no, I have to play every part of the game to get all the gear!”
-
The pvp requirements are pretty minimal tbh. Imagine a pvp only player trying to do prestige leviathan.

15 RepliesYour pve tears taste like champagne. Umm delicious. Whilst I sip on your tears let me tell you about the raids I have been kicked from just because I have not completed them before. Slurp' .. and not because I can't do it. So every time I see a pve guardian in the crucible slurp' .. I have no mercy. I fly into your face with my shotty and make you make posts like this. Burp' .. salt is the key to the best teardrops thank you.

1 ReplyThe PvP player pool would be tremendously low if they didn't force players to parti6in PvP. P vP is trash
-
1 ReplyI mean pvp players have way more pve content to play for the armor and i’m sure they don’t feel like doing story missions and adventures.

1 ReplyEdited by ravenvelvet: 8/11/2018 10:00:26 PMAre we still gettimg these types of posts? The pvp requirements are absolutely minimal. It's literally 30 super kills (mayhem is on this week) and 5 wins. That's all. Conversely, pvp players have to run the redux missions a minimum of 33 times (11 times per character) as well as banking at least 45 heroic PEs. PvE players have it easy. Quit moaning and grow a pair.

PvE houses some of the best PvP equipment and it's quite non-sensible to have to play PvE to get ahead in PvP content. Example: Mida Multi Tool. The Mida Multi Tool has near no president in PvE, the weapon was designed specifically for PvP so why should we go into PvE to get it? Solstice armour: Sure, solstice is about reviewing what we've done for the last year but why should I play pVE to get good looking armour, if looks doesn't matter in PvE? Fallen dregs wont notice your looks. Why should I sit down for patrols, strikes , kills , and do the raid for armour that my enemies wont notice at all in Pve? Not only are there silly challenges to get ahead in PvP but the PvE engram pool holds weapons that have absolutely no use in PvE but have very high president in PvP like the Alone as a god, last hope , and the old fashion. Odds are, if you're a PvP player, you don't enjoy PvE Yet, you have to play it to get something for your PvP set. its perspective my friend, perspective

If you don't like it then don't get it simple. So many claims in your damn post are false literally all I'm seeing is someone crying because they aren't being hand fed what they want. Its literally mayhem this week, you can knock out super kills in 2-3 games maybe even 1 if you're crazy good, 5wins in mayhem is easy as -blam!- to get too.
-
Everyone always complains about PvP and PvE but nobody’s ever talking about the real issue... EvE. You have no idea how many times I’ve been trying to get Fallen kills in the EDZ when some random Cabal comes and steals all my kills. Seriously it’s probably happened like 2 times it’s ridiculous. I really wish I wasn’t forced to compete against AI to earn my 400 power armor smh.

1 ReplySo your telling me it’s absolutely impossible to get 30 super kills in Mayhem, or grind out Valor during the Double and Triple weekends coming up/going on? Right.....
-
So everything should be centred around you? You say you need to get to legend rank but ignore that you also need to do a prestige raid which imo is a lot harder then legend rank. This game isn’t solely a PvE game nor is it a PvP game its both, once you understand that then move on. Nothing you say or do will ever change this, PvP is here to stay so get used to it

5 RepliesStop forcing me to play pve 😂
-
You lost me at president.
-
I would say Sturm and Drang are not the best choices for PVE but Crucible kills did not count towards the kills needed to apply the Sturm catalyst. I was forced to go into PVE with trash PVE weapons and kill like 1000 enemies.
-
No one is forcing you bro, if you don’t like it don’t play PvP.
-
2 RepliesI don’t have any issue playing PvP, but I hate it when half of my team leaves when we are loosing. It’s more so to do with those 5 wins, they should’ve made it like 5 wins or 15 completions, at least then people would not quit when they are down by 20pts.
-
Stop your whining. Dont want to do pvp dont get the armour. End of the day if you don't get it what difference does it make?
-
Tired argument as PvP players are in turn forced to play PvE. Move on
-
People bitching about pvp because it’s not fun like it was in d1

You're not forced to play Crucible. If you're just not good at stuff like PvP and it's really difficult for you then just don't bother finishing your Solstice armor, it's not like you won't be getting armor that's higher value once Forsaken launches. And I say this when I'm not even a PvP person and have never been all that interested or concerned with what amounts to a tiny portion of this game's content. I don't like the current state of Crucible (changing to 6v6 when so many maps are not designed to handle that makes some maps a spawn-flipping mess), but the Age of Triumph type stuff is a celebration meant to say you did everything Y1. I wanted the legendary armor, so I went through with everything even if it's not my most enjoyed activity on all three characters I have. You're not being asked to go Flawless in Trials or to manage to win five games AND top the scoreboard for your team while also having solo queued.
Stop forcing hybrid players play regurgitated pve stuff 😐
-
3 RepliesFor the solstice armour you literally need 30 super kills and 5 wins... that is nothing. Pvp players have to do all the pve requirements which is the majority of it yet they are not complaining.

The grind isn't fun to commit so much time to, even if you chip away at it over time. So I would also propose that players should be able to absolutely tear through them if they have the ability to. Instead of playing the raid 3 times, just 1 prestige clear is enough. Instead of playing 10 games of crucible, you only need to win 3. They all contribute to the same progress, so maybe you played 7 total and won 1 match. Things like that. This whole celebration of the game is false, trials isn't included. Also celebrating the game by torturing your players with an unnecessary grind is stupid.
