I go into quickplay for two games and get crapped on so badly.

It's the PvP nutters making hay padding their K/D ratio while they can thanks to solstice of heroes. It's bringing out the PvP adverse so those guardians of a PvP persuasion are making the most of it while they can.. I for one am absolutely bloody dreading the final iron banner this week... It's gonna be a nightmare to grind those last few pieces of armour 😔

I’m curious at what will happen to Quickplay and Competitive once Trials is removed.
-
If you got steamrolled that’s not sweaty. Sweaty is when you’re neck and neck fighting it out the entire match. I’m sure the other team who steamrolled you found the match easy and relaxing.

It's sweaty for you based on your skill level. Ms5000watts from the DCP podcast explained the best way to fix it, imo. There should be at least 3 different skill levels in pvp. 1. Brand new pvp players and those who hate pvp. 2. Average pvp players, those who enjoy pvp and strive to get better. 3. The elite, like Ms5000watts and the other hardcore streamers, that are at the top of play skill. There should be a playlist for group 1. Where noobs can get their feet wet, and those that hate pvp can do quests and challenges. Entry into this playlist, should be available for a short while based on your elo, or whatever sbmm uses to, "evaluate," us. And then blocked to those who's elo puts them in group #2. Then there should be a playlist for group where people in group #1 are matched with people in group #2. This will allow people in group #1 to play against slightly better people in group #2. Allowing them to get better and join group #2. Last but not least. A playlist for group #2 and group #3 to play in. Again for the chance to improve further and join group #3. But it also means that people in group #3 don't have to only play the elite. Which means every single match they play is sweaty and often poorer connections, due to the fewer number of players in group #3 worldwide. Group #1 and group #3 should never be in the same game. It might be fun for #3's to slaughter #1's but not as fun as you'd think. Currently, imo, all these, "don't force pvp on me posts," are simply due to group #1 matchmaking up with group #3, with the lack of sbmm in effect. I'm sure people skilled enough to raid and do Prestige Nightfalls could handle pvp if only playing other group #1's.

Because countdown is the worst pvp mode ever created.

1 ReplyFor all the people saying it's sweaty because of no more SBMM, this is wrong. It was like that even BEFORE they broke SBMM. It's sweaty because the majority of players hate comp, largely because of no radar. And don't give me that bullshit about no radar = more skill. Radar is just information, and everyone in the match has access to it. Some players use that information more effectively than others. It's a DIFFERENT skill set from playing with no radar, but it's neither more nor less skillful. Aztecross did a poll in which tens of thousands of people voted, and the result was around 80-90 percent of players saying they want radar back in trials and comp. So, because many players don't like comp, they just pile into quickplay. I know I do. Until radar is back, I will not be touching comp or trials, and I know without a doubt, there's many, many players who feel the same.

They changed matchmaking now. More fun for the top players and it is way more sweaty for the rest of us.
-
Matchnaking us broken. You're getting paired with players you shouldn't be fighting against.
-
1 ReplySBMM broke and Bungie decided it's a feature. You're now content for the tryhards to crap on all day. Get used to it or get out of Crucible.
-
21 RepliesIt’s simple all the trytards that get there egos kicked to shit in competitive are now happy that the skill based match making in quickplay has been turned off.
-
1 ReplyBecause Bungie isn't doing a good job fixing Trials/Comp.
-
I Got dropped into a few games in a row where my team was already down 70 pts. I mean I get it, we have to fill squads and help out teams who get abandoned but there needs to be something that makes sure we don’t get fvcked like that twice in a row.
-
6 v 6 was a terrible idea. It turned chess into a ——
-
6 v 6 makes qp more fast paced and fun, unlike the rest of the pvp playlists
-
2 Repliesbecause comp is a joke and trials is dead, so everyone filters into quick play

2 RepliesEdited by SorrowW0lf: 8/11/2018 9:06:35 PMThere is light at the end of the season 3 tunnel. They are changing the sandbox and adding a hand cannon to comp, that the elite will want to grind for. Hang in there. Only a few more weeks to go. But you can't really blame the elite for enjoying the current non sbmm, either. Imagine being so good that every time you play crucible, it's against the super elite. We've been in matches with them for a few weeks, imagine that being your experience for the past year. This too shall pass.

1 ReplyEdited by JustTheDragon: 8/11/2018 12:24:54 PMI agree. I load into Mayhem for the first time this morning and some warlock is spam crouching in every gunfight so I immediately ignore him. Then a hunter is bunny hopping everywhere with a shotgun and his super (obviously). Oh, and it’s Arcstrider so he’d pop it and slam in mid bunny hop. All in all, I felt the sweat from my console flooding me.

Well, there's sweaty and there's just a good player enjoying themselves. You can usually tell based off their behavior, intent to hug the meta/teammates, and or any action done solely for the sake of being an ass like fist of havocing a single person that wasn't even looking. Essentially always taking the easy way of doing everything
-
1 ReplyBecause the countdown gametype chases everyone away from comp.

6 RepliesEdited by Lyrro: 8/12/2018 1:32:27 PMAll the elite pvp'ers ditched competitive when Bungie took away their infinite radars. As it turns out, the majority of "elite" pvp'ers actually kind of suck when they don't have an infinite active radar that tells them where the enemy is at all times. Now they play qp because they get their crutches back when they do. :)

7 RepliesEdited by Kuzie: 8/11/2018 11:08:21 PMits truly comical right now its full of stat farmers trying to boost there egos using shotgun or fusion rifles to kill you then bagging you afterwards. the funny thing is the real trials players left ages ago. when these guys come back it will change things within pvp as its quite dead right now these kind of players where always in trials D1 i would not even class as these types as tryhards its an insult. one lose they quit (MY ELO...cry cry cry) as right now most QP matches 90% of the time teams are made up of pve players with no real pvp experience just trying to complete there armour upgrades... so trying to crap on all day unskilled players makes you look really sad as a person and shows no skill but its an ego boost for them so enjoy guys .. but that is the nature of Crucible in D2 im afraid
-
yes just looked......Argos and wallmart sell...... the xploder ultimate cheat hacker disc ......for all your xbox and ps4 games......
-
BADDASS GAMEING ON YOUTUBE....... he is 100 per cent correct that d1 pvp was fun the meta was right with everything.... then d2 pvp came....an E SPORT. that has failed.....still strange now d2 pvp ....6v6 team shot ..lol.... but baddass is in the know on this 1

2 RepliesQP is FUBAR because SBMM has been altered meaning you can be matched with anyone based off of connection. ie CBMM. There’s no consistency within game to game as this coupled with lag(as a result of P2P) cause radar to not function properly, enemies to not take the proper amount of damage, and the ever present getting shot and killed when out of sight behind cover. Don’t expect things to ever change until such time as the Dev decides to provide better servers for the player base.
-
There is no matchmaking filter so you are playing anyone currently matching regardless of skill or connection.
-
Because of 6v6 on tiny maps.
