"Solstice Of Heroes" is NOT for solo players!
Okay. I've been playing Destiny since its original release, and as one of the older players here, I find it a struggle sometimes. I also play solo, and am probably below average. So, when I slogged my way through "Solstice Of Heroes" using the green armour only to find upon receiving the slightly better blue armour it required me to complete the Nightfall, I felt a little conned.
Not everyone who plays Destiny is a gaming god. I can't even complete a Nightfall using my regular 385 armour as a solo player. I already posted a thread on this forum that I was looking for help but got zero response.
So, if you are like me, a solo player who plays for fun and escapism then DO NOT even begin the "SOH" missions unless you are awesome. And yes, I do have friends who game, but not on Xbox or in the UK.
What a waste of my time. I'm beginning to wonder if the Destiny franchise is going the way of Call Of Duty and removing the solo player aspect completely. That would be a shame as this used to be a great game.

Also, the forums have a built in system for finding [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Topics?tg=Recruitment%20PS4&tSort=0&tType=0&d=0&lang=en]fireteams[/url] you can use.

I am finishing up the green gear on the Titan and was going to help you get through the missions, NF and such. Unfortunately, I am on the Playstation side of things. You're on xbox which has a built in LFG service so you're the only one stopping yourself from completing activities. You dont even have to leave the game to use xboxlives LFG and it only takes moments to find a fireteam for any activity in the game. If you're the type that doesnt like to use a mic, most nightfall LFG posts dont even ask for a mic.

1 ReplyAlso a little tip, change out your armor except for the individual piece for that requirement. You can run a 4 piece of your choosing with the one piece of blue for the NF.

2 RepliesEdited by BigSting23: 8/9/2018 4:51:50 PMI'm as casual as they come, and I was easily able to get to the Purples. LFG is your friend. Other than the 3 strikes with a clan mate, this is absolutely for Solo players. You just need to utilize LFG a little bit.

This whole game isn't for solo players. It's advertised as a cooperative experience. They make it available for solo players as much as possible, but to an extent you just need to accept the fact that it's not going to be perfect for you.
