DDOS Attacks in Comptetitive and Crucible!
So, I've been grinding with my team all day trying to get Redrix's Claymore, We win some, we lose some, but over all it's not too bad, except for when we all get disconnected from our matches for apparently no reason, leading us to believe we're being DDoS'd so that people can cheat their way to getting Redrix's!
It's happened two times out eleven matches, and if it happens again we're liable to be banned for leaving competitive matches. Luckily we at least have some evidence as one of us has been streaming while this happens, so there's that. Still though, since it was announced that most of the year 1 weapons and items won't be available, all the cheaters seem to be coming out of the wood work, making it even harder for us honest players to get this damn gun! Please do something about this!

D2 is pure Peer to Peer, which means everyone's IP Address is exposed to everyone else in the game. You send and receive information with everyone in the game. DOS or DDOS would not be possible if they had host servers, as the only ones who see your IP Address are the servers. They could attack the servers, but they'd get disconnected too and get no win out of it.

Bump. This shit happened all the time back in Trials of Osiris and it still is going on. I don't play competitive but many times in Trials, I'll get DC'd. Funny thing is I never get DC'd in any other activity BUT trials and comp. Its bullcrap.

3 RepliesHello guardian, https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12960 I would recommend avoiding posting any links which contain identifying information about guardians you believe to be cheating. Reporting guardians using the tools provided in the link posted at the top of this response is the best way to ensure players are punished.

Someone should just DDOS Bungie at this point so they start to get the idea of how annoying it is.

At least you have people yo help you. I got to level 1 glory but was instantly stomped back to level 0. Well at least I got the armor ornament really wish I could get the damn gun though it would be nice but unfortunately bungie designed there game for team play and said bye to the 99% solo players who make up there game.
