5 RepliesPlagueis simply didn't account for the fact that he'd chosen a psychopath for an apprentice. So, even though Plagueis showed little interest in the political power that Sidious craved, his apprentice would tolerate no challengers to his bid for power. So he murdered Plagueis anyway. What WAS ironic was that Sidious ended his life in a gentle...almost loving (to the extent he was capable of) manner. Almost as if to say, "I must end your life, but I take no pleasure in it or in making you suffer."
