Seriously though, forum trolls come in three basic flavors. 1. Posters who crave the attention that negativity in this environment can gain you. One of the chief forum trolls---who has since been run off by Bungie----was of this variety. 2. Poster who are under the mistaken impression that they can control Bungie if they just keep complaining loud enough and long enough. That if they just make a big enough nuisance of themselves, they can force Bungie to do as they wish. These misguided souls are the most benign (ans possibly well-intentioned of the group). 3. Then you have posters who are working agendas that really have nothing to do with this game specifically...and just use this forum as a convenient platform FOR that agenda...and Bungie as a convenient foil. Bottomline. They aren't leaving, because they don't want to give up the payoff they get emotionally for staying here and perpetually complaining.

They are looking for confirmation that they are right. The only difference between you and a fallen Guardian is bungie hasn't crossed your threshold of tolerance yet... but, they will. They always do. I love Destiny. I had to stop playing. Playing said to me that I approve the way bungie conducts their buisness. I do not. Every amount of goodwill earned. Is instantaneously turned into a quick money grab. Always. Watch. Maybe it doesn't bother you but my threshold has been crossed. Hope this helps.

Because they paid money for the game and have a right to voice their opinion—regardless of whether or not other people like it. The mistake here is assuming that posts like these are admonishing trolling, when the reality of the situation is usually that the OP just doesn't like it when people say something bad about Destiny. If you don't like what [i]you're[/i] seeing on the forums, then the most logical course of action would be for you to leave as opposed to the ten thousand or so users who you're complaining about.

Well, since you don't have a say on what anyone does and if you don't like what you see posted on this forum, why don't you leave? [spoiler]I don't hate the game and not everything (you see as negative is actually negative.) See if you can figure that one out. There isn't many on this forum that actually hates this game, and for gamers like you to make posts like this because you see a lot of what people post as "negative" is that they hate the game. Sorry, that is an illusion you created yourself because you don't like the negative things you see on this forum. It's life bud when a company treats the player base with disrespect. What gives the right for this company to treat their player base like crap? See, it's easy to blame the people on this forum for being negative but it's okay for this company to pull the nonsense that they have this entire year? Improving the game has nothing to do with us at all and that is a fact. That is on the company and they have refused to address some of the issues in this game but hey, you might see some changes if you buy the next DLC wink. Do you want to see things change? then this company needs to change. It's as simple as that and that is a fact.

Nobody hates Destiny 2, man. They hate the actual state of the game, 'cos they see the game they love been ruined for... who knows? Why the game is in this state? Do you know this? Anybody knows? No. You know why? 'cos Bungie gives no answer. Bungie doesn't communicate with his community and this, the fact to don't know things, makes people mad and salty. They came here, they want answers, they want someone to asnwer their questions, but nothing. Their hobby is been -blam!-ed up, their money screwed, and why? For what? They don't know. Of course they are mad and salty. Annnnnnd… that's why I'm still unsure if buy or not Forsaken. I love Destiny, I wanna play it, but I'm tired of Bungie.

Waiting for Borderlands 3, Anthem, Red Redemption and The Division 2

Realsitically most people aren't. People who use to come here to offer support to other players, or make note of issues in the game, have pretty much given up on being heard, players are kind of giving the game one last chance to see what there is to see in Fux-sake-n, but if bungie face plants the landing instead of sticking it, which is what they've done with literally every part of destiny 2 so far, the games dead. Literally. Forsaken has to be perfect. In every aspect. Just for destiny to survive. Not for it to reclaim it's glory days, I mean just to continue surviving to it's next major release, this has to be a flawless release that makes almost everyone happy... Which is a tall order to fill. If it's not everything people are desperately hoping it will be, you toxic players can have the forums and what is left of the game and everyone else will just move on to any number of better titles. And destiny will be for all intents and purposes dead, they'll probably never see another major earning release, even in the release of destiny 3, people will have been burned for the last time. And the failure of the game will be their own fault, as well as *points* the toxicity of people like you who like to bully anyone who says anything about the game into silence. As for me. I'm definitely not investing any money into this game until atleast mid October and only then if Festival of The Cost 2.0 has some stuff I'm really, really, really going to want... until I've had a chance to see how negative the player response is, I have other things to keep me entertained and I have no reason to, as Dipshit deej puts it, "throw money" at them.

I come here to complain because I care about the game, I don’t waste time complaining about things I don’t love. I love it and want to play it more but it increasingly becoming more of a chore than a fun and long standing issue not getting solved. And I think most of the people complaining feel the same. If you visit the forum and see no complaints, that the moment you know the game is dead.

I'm sure the salt comes from the immense disappointment of the first year in Destiny and Bungie's shifty handling of it. From the outright lying to the community to the nickle and dimeing of the dedicated player. To all the changes that Luke Smith Touted as the next greatest thing that ALL had to be changed by Christopher Barrett. The Complete obliteration of the story thanks to the narrative lead under Christine Thompson (Folk your Lore). The underwhelming expansions and dumbing down of nearly every aspect of the game. The introduction of single use shaders. The token system. The heavy emphasis on Eververse making other vendors obsolete aka Amanda Holiday and Eva Lavonte (RIP). The everyone gets everything super easy and lack of any conviction for. . .anything. The pointlessness of strikes with no strike specific rewards *Yes I know they added Nightfall rewards as an afterthought. Eliminating Crucible play types and the only 4v4 *Yes changed recently but still needs major work. The painful Lost sector grind of Faction Rally that just doesn't make sense. . . . still. Dumbed down super tree with less customization. Pointless unexciting loot. Everything seems that is was designed by committee and less as creative individuals. Now this could be somewhat salvaged in Forsaken or it could be another bronzed turd that is all shiny and pretty on the outside but inside it's still just turd. I am trying to hold onto a beacon of hope for this though the annual pass. . . sorry can't do that especially when we still don't know ANYTHING about it other than we can buy it now and it has endgame things. . . . . yeah thanks for all that vast wealth of information there Bungie. Keep in mind this response is my personal opinion and may or may not reflect that of the community.

I come here to read posts and hope that destiny can become great again. I don't post,I just read and then when and if it becomes great again then I may come back until then I'll keep reading the posts. D1 me and the people in my clan used to play daily for at least 2 hours. D2 this dropped to about 2 hours a week and then just stopped completely, not played since at least Christmas possibly longer
