Mouse disconnects randomly..

I have a Logitech G5 USB Gaming Mouse that I have been using for years. It is working flawlessly in any other game. Just not Destiny 2. I have bought a new cordless mouse for my laptop. A Logitech M171. and I have the exact same problem in Destiny 2 with that mouse. I will play like any other person and my mouse wil disconnect for 1 - 2 seconds during normal PVE gameplay. Strange thing is. It never disconnects (unplugs itself) during Crucible. It makes that sound like if you unplug your USB cable from your PC and plugs it back in. Back in Beta there was this mouse bug as well and it seems that it got worse on live with all the updates. I have followed the guide where you do the DPI thing in compatibility and I am always playing on 100% Windows 10 UI. I have been having this issue since early June. Its like the game wants to disable my mouse to tell me to play with a controller. Oh and I have tried my PS4 controller on my PC.. No issue at all. (I am not very good with a FPS game on a controller though) If anyone know of a possible fix for this, it would be great. PC Specs: Gigabyte Z10N Gaming G5 Motherboard Intel i7 6700K 4Ghz CPU G.Skill 32 GB DDR4 RAM Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce 1070 OC Edition Samsung 500GB SSD

 • After much fiddeling around, reading various forums, watching some Youtube videos for this problem I think I managed to fix the problem 75%. 1st Things 1st The problem isnt with Destiny 2 even though I thought it was. Yes the game isnt flawless and you still need to delete the CVARS file once in a while if you have input issues. It also isnt a hardware problem but a Windows 10 (or as I saw on a forum, 7 also had this issue) problem. I can probably write a book why I think Windows isnt as good as it used to be, why I like Linux more and why developers should focus more on Linux then on Windows game developing.. but yeah. I will get the "windows is a more popular on PC" talk. The Fix (At least for me) Part 1 On Windows 10 search I just typed "power" Choose Power Options On your current plan > Choose Change Plan Settings Choose Advance Power Settings A small window called Power Options will pop up Scroll Down until you see USB settings Click the + icons until you see Plugged in, On Battery for laptops. Just choose disable on both.. Basically everything insite USB settings needs to be disabed. Thats it. Part 2 On Windows 10 search "device" and choose device manager. Open the dropdown thingy by click the arrow next to Mice and other pointing devices. Do the following on all of them: (I only have 2: Keyboard & Mouse) Richt Click > Properties Choose the Power Management tab Turn of by clicking the checkbox on the left of Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power Part 3 https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46407 Hope this helps. I dont expierience Disconnects from my keyboard and mouse anymore, but I do still experience where my mouse movement will get stuck for 1 - 2 seconds from time to time. Not as much as it used to after the fix but I still do get it. I have requested a refund for Forsaken and will be moving my game over to PS4, starting from scratch.
