Having the portal spawned to start it up immediately after a fail is just luck. If you fail to time, it usually lines up with the tail end of a public event in lost oasis. If it was a taken blight, and people killed the major, the portal would still be there

It doesn't matter. I gave up hope because I can't make the jumps anyway. I won't waste anymore time trying to get the gun.
