Halo: Reach temporary files are deleted too quickly!

Bungie: please release an update to extend the lifespan of temporary files in Reach! When I load Halo: Reach, I keep finding that the files from my games the previous day (campaign, multiplayer, etc) are gone! I noticed this during the beta, and reported it as a bug. Temporary files were never deleted so soon in Halo 3. I have ovewr 100 GB of spare space! Files do not need to be deleted prematurely.

 • Temporary files are saved in the cache portion of the HDD, if you use another application or game that uses the cache, this will be overwritten. Just loaded up today, and since Reach was the last thing I did, all my temporary files are still there. This operates exactly how it did in Halo 3. You guys have no right to complain now.

 •
Posted by: captain snoopy or you switch off your 360
That does NOT clear the temporary games. What clears it, Playing any other form of game. Be it another disc game, GoD game, Arcade game or even Halo Waypoint (counts as GoD). Clearing your storage devices cache. Leaving you xbox off for a very long time.

 • It's not always possible to save at the end of a gaming session. The software should give us at least an extra day or one additional chance to save content. A significant quantity of good content will be lost unnecessarily in this way, this is a fact.

 • This annoyed/confused me as well. In Halo 3 sometimes temporary files would be on my Xbox for as long as a week and sometimes it just lasts until your xbox is switched off. I'm guessing it being on there for longer was the glitch instead of it being removed quickly. I always forget to save files so it would be useful if the files could last longer.

 •
Posted by: V3Rsi Temporary files = files that can be saved up until you turn off your xbox. Save your files.
they do not automatically reset after a time limit. its just until 25 games have passed or you switch off your 360

 • In Halo 3 files were saved for longer, and that is much better.
