Petition to make Destiny 3 a M rated game
All teens that started in D1 are now over 17. I really want Destiny 3 to have a mature feel to it. The game is ready for it.

Have the vex milk convert non-vex units into vex with all the grosseness that comes with it? Have the Hive become even more disturbing than they are now? I could see it if there was a Destiny horror spinoff game, but I don't think D3 needs to be rated M.

4 RepliesThis entire post is irrelevant. The contract between Bungie and EA clearly state that Destiny will ALWAYS be a T game. This will never change until the contract with EA expires.

M rating won't make the story any better. If you add more gore, make the physics engine compensate for it ala the ground gets slippery and your Guardian slips on it if he's running and makes sudden turns and lateral movement. Add disorienting effects as a result of Blast Overpressure when rockets and grenades are used in confined areas.

The Hive would be amazing in an M/18 rated game. Sicker rituals, torture and scarier character models.

An m rating might give them more freedom to showcase some of the darker elements of the story. But what they really need is better writers.

5 RepliesKeep it T. It really doesn’t need to be rated M. The only thing that separates the 2 are excessive gore, violence, swearing and nudity, none of which do anything to tell a compelling story. Often times they substitute those additions for better development of the created world. Easier to entertain by shocking someone than actually working at entertaining them through well thought out gameplay. I think of the Uncharted series, probably my favourite of all time. Rated T, but definitely has a mature feel and has brilliant writing and character development. The issue isn’t that Destiny needs a change in rating. The issue is that they need to tell their story with a darker tone. They need to have a more compelling adventure. This seems to be coming in September, so kinda a moot point.

Somehow we had to unite as a community to clean up the playerbase. On d2 nowadays those damned kids n teens are the last players left, see the results? I still dream to see this game M 18+ with strict laws and instaban for any minors just trying to infest our game.

1 ReplyI really don't think this is necessary. There are so many other games that are rated M, that if you want that stuff, go play them. Destiny is for a slightly different audience than the people that play CoD and Battlefield. I think we should keep it that way. Also, the poll results right now have 66 votes for making D3 Mature XDXD. #markofthebeastXD

But why? I mean you can tell a deep story without needing to have excessive gore, profanity and nudity. But hey not against seeing some melons after rescuing a awoken from the fallen ;-)
