I got D.F.A with ZERO Points in Prestige Nightfall
I'm not even trying to go for the D.F.A as I already got it weeks ago. I AFKed for awhile soloing the Prestige Nightfall the timer went past the threshold taking points away and when I finally completed it at just over 30 minutes, the D.F.A drops out of the chest Masterworked with my grand total of zero points. LOL
Why does this game tend to do things like this? Meanwhile, I have been trying to get the other Nightfall rewards getting all kinds of points completed them 35+ times and cannot for the life of me get any other Nightfall rewards like the Ghost Shell or the Sparrow. This game is so assbackwards. I wish this game had trading I would trade this DFA for the Sparrow or Ghost shell Nightfall rewards. I guess the key is to get zero points. Try it see if your luck is as good as mine. LOL

Grinded every nightfall for every nightfall reward and from my exhausting experience it literally has nothing to do with score. Most of my drops came from speedruns on normal after being fed up trying to get huge scores on prestige and getting zero drops. Save your time. Run through everything on normal, its the same rng as killing every add on prestige trust me.

I started to make a post about this on Tuesday. Wasn't trying for the challenge; just the engram. My hunter had a score of approx. 3200 and it dropped for me after an 11 min. Nightfall. Masterworked as well. In D1 I'd have grinded out all of these weapons by now. But I'll say I was shocked as f[b]uck[/b] because I didn't think they would drop with such a low score.

Um, its not based off points. The "r" in rng stands for random, not rpoints.

2 RepliesYup. People need to realise how it works. A high score increases your chance, however it is still a chance no matter what you do. So it's just as feasible to get it from a zero point nightfall as it is for a high score mlg run. There is no proven strategy, beyond the drop rates being low all round and nit increasing much with score or it would be a more proven method.

I'm WELL over 100 runs without a drop. I'm starting to lose sanity over it. This post does not help.

You don’t have to do prestige nightfall to get it....

1 ReplyThe RNG in this game is soooo strange....almost devious. I've done dozens of clears for the DFA and have yet to get it. Yet...in my last 2 Prestige Raids....I got the Sleeper Sim Catalyst, the Telesto Catalyst, AND a 400 Sniper that I could infuse into my Black Hammer Snipe from last week ;) Mind you, I've only done the raid twice now since they opened the possibility of the Exotic Catalyst drops. So, in that regard, I'm lucky AF. I have friends who have completed this raid countless times to my 2 and still haven't gotten anything worth noting. RNG is so freaking odd it makes my head spin. At times, such as I stated, it can be an absolute blessing....and other times it's a complete curse which makes you want to rip your hair out. To Note: in EVERY case that I listed above, I had ZERO expectations of getting anything since it was only my first time running Prestige Argos and Spires since the Catalysts became available. I was literally surprised when each dropped and had actually forgotten that it was possible to get those Catalysts yet...so yea, strange.
