How to make D2 forums a 'Happy Place'? Get rid of PvP!
Seriously if you want a happier forum lets get rid of PvP completely, that includes IB and Trials and then 90% of the bitching, mine included, whining and complaining would simply just vanish.
Based on todays kids and American society we can replace it with Soccer where everyone gets a free Gjally just for showing up. No need to keep score it might be construed as bullying. No one dies, instead you get a freeshot on goal (even though we aren't scoring) lest someone gets their feelings hurt. If you get teamed up on only the first person to fire gets push against, the rest to step back to preserve 'personal space' . DDOSER's remove themselves from the match (hmm how do we make that happen for real???) You only need one match, and they are only 5 minutes long anyways and then you get your Milestone for the week and that Milestone is a guaranteed 400 item you don't already have at 400. Once you have them all then they become 410. There is no Valor or Glory soccer and everyone makes it to the World Championship finals and based on the first set of rules WE ALL WIN!!!

I remember them taking about this game originally and they talked about telling stories about how you got your prized piece of gear. Everyone has to do the same thing for all the good gear. Right now, I’m trying to get paradoxes for a lost prophecy. The most efficient way to do that is crucible. I don’t like playing the crucible all that much. Why can’t I get them from public events? Why can’t some who loves strikes get them from strikes? And someone who lives the crucible get them from that. It’s so rigid. It’s like they tried to make a game that goes against human nature. No freedom or options. This game is its own version of “jack if all trades, master of none.” Rather than give people options, it’s like they try to get everyone todo everything. The game can’t be everything to everyone. People in the crucible don’t want people on their team that don’t even really want to be there in the first place. Same with raiders. It’s still so disappointing to see its potential so unquestionably squandered.

No cuz then the people that enjoyed the pvp would complain that it’s gone. It’s a lose-lose situation. Everyone that complains should just uninstall the game and play something better. I did and I didn’t even complain that much

I've said this since d1 not bout the forums tho just the game I feel like the game would be a 1000 times better if it were strictly pve. It would take away most of all the balancing and terrible perks on gear and weapons and you could be powerful I mean really powerful yet bungie insists their games needs pvp. I'm here to say not every game needs pvp

As much as I hate how PvP has ruined this game, there just isn't enough content to support PvE alone. PvP and the friendship game exist to extend the life of the game without relying on more content. This aint Skyrim.

D3 developed as 100% PVE. No PVP in D3. “Beyond Destiny” the $100million dollar Chinese cash infusion is used to create a PVP only title. Two separate games that appeal to both types of player. Both will involve micro transactions to further contribute profit. The future. You read it here first.

Yes. Forums will be super happy and Destiny will be a ghost town. Forums definitely will not be filled with outrage at them removing PVP. Historically, people have never raged here about things being removed in D2.

A huge chunk of this community is primarily pvp focus. I spend more time in crucible than I do strikes or the planets.
