Crucible is horrendous at times due to Team Shooting. The TTK is also repulsive. The whole "it requires teamwork to play" is just an excuse by players who can't get kills on their own. In D1, Crucible was amazing because you always felt like a super soldier, not a glass figurine. You would stay alive for longer, and if you were skillful you could rip the other team apart by yourself. Now it's all about having 3 or 4 guys shooting at 1. It's ridiculous.

6 RepliesEdited by mauriciobe: 7/26/2018 12:36:05 AMTeamshooting takes no skill, team shooting in other words is finishing the job for someone or allowing others to finish your unfinished job. Those who teamshoots are going to struggle and loose their 1v1s , and by teamshooting I don’t mean those who will sometimes help out their teammates, I’m talking about those who constantly go in big chunky groups from 3-4 and camp in the back with either pulse or scouts. I win all my 1v1 and 1v2 ( depending how skillful is the second player) , but when there’s a whole group aware of were you are, it’s almost impossible to avoid not getting killed. Anyways back to my point about teamshooting takes no skill, plz I know you people are out there are reading this, so plz do me a favor and stop camping in the back as a group; for once practice your 1v1s, and trust me it’s a lot more fun being able to clutch your way out of trouble then being considered a player that needs to rely on others.

The power fantasy is the real issue. This whole notion of forced teamwork because of underpowered weapons and abilities is CONTRADICTORY to the experience that the rest of the game (in D1) was trying to create. Which is why the whole game suffered as a result. People don’t play this game to experience a “tactical shooter”. That’s what Rainbow Six is for. People who play this game want to experience the fantasy of being one part warrior-angel and one-part comic book superhero. Destiny 2 took that and broke it over a knee and handed us back the pieces. PvE is recovering. But pvp is still a rolling dumpster fire.

11 Repliesbring grenades back like they were in D1 will stop it

7 RepliesYa know he's not entirely wrong. To me D1 pvp was better because everything in your arsenal was deadly. Your melee Dangerous. You could kill an unshield guardian, and there was none of the stupid slapfest that happens now. Your grenade... dangerous. If ya stuck someone they were dead. Poison smoke bombs and trip mines put in work too. Your whole team could get heavy and punished the other team. (Or get punished) And yes...lane camping snipers and shotgun rushers were annoying but good TEAM WORK could over that. D1 crucible was more deadly and chaotic. There were way more "hero moments" where you wiped the whole team with a well placed grenade, a quick scope, follow bye ( quick weapon change) a shot(s)+melee kill....no super required. Those times don't happen often in D2 Now it's all about landing critical hits and team shots. I have adjusted to the new play style. I'm less concerned with finding those "hero moments" and intstead thinking about weapon range and recoil patterns. Pvp is fun to me but less exciting as D1.

1 ReplyGotta play smarter in d2, not harder.
-
2 Replies“D1 crucible was amazing” Constant one shot weapons such as shotguns, snipers thy were very common. End of D1, everyone would only spam NLB. That isn’t fun. Your playing a team based game. How is team shooting unfair? Oh right. People outplayed you and now your angry and say anyone who does this is bad and can’t get a kill on their own.

Juxtaposed Less ttk not being glass when really you are a brick and shorter ttk makes you glass

46 RepliesUgh.... More complaints about teams working as teams
-
2 RepliesOP hates "team shooting," but I'm willing to bet he's one of those guys that blames his teammates every time he dies.
-
Oh, crap you mean to tell me, people are using teamwork in a team vs team setting!? Holy crap that's unheard of! I guess the only thing you can do is ... STOP BEING A SOLO PLAYER!? XD

Sometimes I stop during match and just watch and unfortunately there are many cases when I see my whole team going always same spot as others just to teamshoot other group, it's so funny coz its leaving half map just unused but that just the effect of the "teamplay" Ppl need to understand that teamplay include different strategies with using skill, movement and map knowledge not just : "I'll put rifts under this stationary group and I'm big teamplayer now" In Qp I can follow one below average player and together we are GODS and that's without any communication, just mindlessly running after him and shooting same target , in my book that's "poor man's teamplay" nothing more. In D1 being average player with my team once in a while we played ToO just to try different tactics and somethime that worked sometimes did not but HUGE thing is we had that possibility in D2 only poors man teamplay -teamshooting is only viable option there. ppl did not asked for any changes introduced in D2, it's just unfortunate that devs made those decisions which came out to be wrong call. Weapon slot changes coming. TTK is being reduced - in new trailer from game informer you can see that 600 RPM AR is hitting 23 crit which is on pair with D1 equivalent at same time body shoot stays same (faster TTK for SKILLED players= higher skill gap) Im having big hopes for Forsaken patch,Bungie have opportunity to bring D2 where it should be from day 1.

2 RepliesIf u don't like team shooting, then either don't team shoot, or play rumble.
-
By skillful you mean if you used a ohk crutch special weapon because if the other guy could shoot back you lost every engagement.
-
8 RepliesTeam shooting is a perfectly legitimate tactic. Are you supposed to not shoot because someone else is shooting the same target? Stop whining.
-
Every match is basically a blitz to POWER ammo
-
Its a team game so its going to happen. But the getting one shot killed by every type of weapon like its a sniper rifle is more annoying.
-
They need to give options if whether we want to go into 6v6 or 4v4 (make both playlists available and everyone will be happy)
-
4 RepliesTeam shooting is fine. My problem is that 90% of the time I die it is from supers or heavy. I just love that everyone is crying about how they want to feel powerful in Destiny. Give us more heavy! Make our super charge faster! There is another way to feel powerful; get good at the game. Improve your aim, play smart. It actually feels better than getting 3 supers per match.

2 RepliesAlways find it funny when people are like 'it's a team game...duh'. Yes, it is. Well spotted! However the issue is that the maps are too small for the number of players, which leads to much more frequent team shotting than there really should be. One on ones are infrequent and when you do have one and win, you turn around and get a rocket to the face from the two enemy players that just scored an easy one hit kill on a player with low HP, no skill at all on their part yet they get the kill just because with maps this size you're always near someone. If maps were bigger I'd have no issue with the occasional team shot because it would, for the most part, be earned, not just a lucky happenstance of poor design.

In my opinion in 6v6 wich players have clamoring for you defenetly get a lot more easy kills due to enemy guardians being distracted you get teamshoot just as much as in 4v4. I feel like and this is just my opinion in 4v4 i felt that there were more one v ones. 4v4 may not be as fun as 6v6 , but i think it had a higher skill ceiiling. I guess you can make the argument that that doesnt matter because its not a competetive playlist. Let me tell players go tryhard in quickplay as well. Since we are at a point where the 6v6 fans have won the democratic vote. We need a ttk reduction because with 6v6 and the slow ttk its hard to be the hero of the match. In d1 I could get triple kills left and right.Thats not the case in d2 6v6 you are teamshoot so fast.

I bet you just wanna run around with your eyes closed and shoot people in the butt with a shotty with no radar. Am I right?

8 Repliesgit gud

15 RepliesOh fun another one. Look you must stop trying to over glorify yourself, and remember that Destiny is a team game. There can be no Solo victory, you must work for your team, not for yourself. If you can't play with others, then go play Rummble by your self.
-
I’ll just take better matchmaking please. Would at least like a team that knows wtf to do.
-
I don't whether it's just me but I feel like the team-shooting issue isn't as bad since 6v6 was implemented. Now all they need to do is lower TTK and remove the defeat system.
-
5 RepliesOr... You can get a team like normal people and team shoot the idiots who run off alone
