PSA: WHISPER OF THE WORM IS GONE!
Bungie decided to screw over whoever didn't get their whisper because why keep a good thing in a game anyways right? This was their one chance to kill some of the negative feedback for this game and they went and messed even that up.
I have the Whisper, and the catalyst. But thanks to Bungies pisspoor decision making, I cant help any of my friends who worked through the weekend out today like I planned. I'd have to assume others are ticked off too judging my comments on reddit and Twitter. Figured ya'll should know Bungie took another great thing away from everyone so you guys don't waste your time anymore today.
Edit: Your mob mentality is pathetic and you should all be ashamed for thinking it would have any effect. Im personally not ok with CONTENT being taken away for no reason. Lets say they took away Raids except for 2 days a week? What if they limited the Tower to Wednesday's only (Extreme Example)? Exactly, no exceptions. Leave content in the game, there's no reason to pull it out besides artificial playtime to boost their charts.

5 RepliesDon’t you remember the heroic mission in D1? It was timed as well from what i remember. I’d prefer it to be a limited time thing so people that actually want to grind the game get something for that effort, not like 83% of the loot that is just thrown at us.

How exactly did they screw people over? Trials is on a timer. Xur is on a timer. Old Spindle quest was a rotation in the daily mission.... please explain again? Everyone been complaining that D2 sucks because it got away from D1...now they bring back some "D1-like" quests...and peeps are complaining. Play something else...or become a game programer and make something yourself...SMDH

7 RepliesThey took it away to fix it. The problem was the spawn of the quest was hours apart and if you play xbox (like I do) there was a span of 5 hours that had only cabal excavation. I'm assuming they are going to put it back in after making the spawn time better, or at least not 2 hours apart. They might do something like in D1 for the sleeper stimulant quest and only have it once per month (hopefully it's more than that, but that's an example). They didn't take it out to spite the community. That is suicide for this game after the positive reaction it got because it's the first actual hard exotic to obtain and that is worth the grind. The spawn time was insanely long for some reason.

1 ReplyMaybe this game isn’t for you... Limited content has been apart of this game since D1 day one. I mean, even the people who played alpha and beta got emblems that no one else did. If anything it’s additional content added to the base game for free that’s on a timer. So it’s really not “taken away”, lol.

2 RepliesIt’ll be back. Probably next week.. this is vintage Bungie and I’m pleased to see this stuff back in the game! Granted, I didn’t pick the weapon up myself, I’ve been on a D2 hiatus and my skills have atrophied to a point of uselessness. So there was no way I was banging through that adventure.. but maybe next time it shows up, I’ll be ready.
