Dear Guardian, The algorithm has more than likely not changed. In fact, up until this last reset, most people prefered the Cabal Excavation to the Taken Blight as it was easier to complete. In the end, it is all random chance based on the server you were placed on. If you find yourself having bad luck, your best bet is to log out of Destiny, clear your cache, and log back in. You may get placed in a different server with a higher chance of the instance dropping.
