Okay, who are these -blam!-s demanding 385+ power level for a NORMAL Leviathan run?
The recommended power is 300. Power level in Leviathan is literally capped WAY before players even get close to 385. Players have been doing Leviathan literally since it came out without having to be 385.
It's almost impossible to find people on ANY lfg sites because the rare few posts that are for the activity you want all have ridiculously high standards like this.
It's because of THIS that only a fraction of the playerbase has completed a Raid. I'm far from a stranger to Raids, and I'm finding it incredibly difficult to get a group together for this shit. Imagine how hard it is for a player who's never done it before? People put shit like "10+ completions required", "Must have [insert Exotic Weapon here]", and "must be [max power]+" in their posts, and of course it's going to put new players off!
This elitist mindset both demands experience and makes it incredibly hard for new players to get it. It's goddamn -blam!-, and it needs to stop.
You don't need to be 385 for a Leviathan run, especially not on NORMAL difficulty! People who demand max light allies for crap like this can go -blam!- off.

Why would any group need 385+ to do a 300 level raid . A group of 350s can complete it just as fast . I’m more curious of why people feel that you have to be over 380 to accomplish this ? I do understand that some players feel they need every advantage they can but that may be saying more about the poster than they care to admit . Pretty soon, if not already , players will be requiring 385+ and whisper of the worm. What happens to those posters when you form a group like that and still fail. Nothing to fall back on at that point . Bottom line is , I will take experience and a slingshot over any over the top requirements . To each his own . I would like the question actually answered though. Note*** if you are going to require 385+ to complete a raid , please do not load in with your friend, both below 370 and immediately ask everyone if they have done this before. Also , asking for a refresher at every encounter is a pure sign that you really needed a carry for you and your friend. Should probably place that in your post instead of going the other route with your requirements .

The 385 request doesn't bother me, its the crybaby coming to the forums every week mad at some post that hurt their feelings. NOBODY CARES. i dont care if the ask for a light level completions Ghorn 2.0 KD must been flawless NOBODY CARES NOBODY you don't have to join them, make your own group, grow a set, use said set to get over it.

Everytime I see a post complaining about requirements on LFG I say the same thing. Just create your own post, form your own team of any light level you prefer and move on. Why don't people understand this. Instead of coming on the forums to complain, its as simple as that. Make a team, be the fireteam leader and go from there.

I spent ages on lfg when leviathan was like a couple months old trying to get into a group with my mic mute and I finally got an invite and thought some nice people are going to help me through but nope. The moment I joined they were instantly talking smack about me even though they have never seen me play or even gave me a chance to spawn in the lobby so I left as soon as I got into the lobby. I can't play properly when I've got 5 other guys talking smack even before I drop into the raid it would of put me off massively. Because of that I haven't looked on lfg for raids since. I miss vog and crota days :(

1 ReplyWhat's with people complaining about groups with requirements? There's a natural progression to this shit, if you have few or no completions, raid with other newbie groups until you get in done, once you get a couple clears under your belt, raid with other players like yourself, once you have an actual decent amount of completions to the point where a group won't question if you know what you're doing, which is fair because they don't feel up to spending 4 hours trying to sherpa a noob through raids, then you can join those groups.

I had no motivation to finish it. I was at the boss room. Played a few times. Then I decided f it. It’s no vault of glass or Kings fall. I should also point out that if you were in their shoes you’d probably be fed up of quitters. I did a lot of lfg in Kings fall. It was terrible. I was open to teach and help people. But it was frustrating when they left or just didn’t try hard enough to keep themselves alive.

Tried using discord servers as LFG too? I raided last night, had 2 bois from my clan server with me. Put out an LFG on 3 other servers and within 5 minutes had 3 more.

2 Repliesback in the day when I did raid, we got more enjoyment pulling a bunch of blueberrys through. my, how times have changed. im about 380 so I guess Im out with these guys...which is fine by me. those type of players are no fun to play with anyways.

5 RepliesIt's part of the reason only a fraction completes the raid. Some don't because they stop playing after the stories, because endgame stuff doesn't interest them. Some stop because they don't have groups, and LFG hampers them with elitist stupidity. Some stop because they don't have fun doing the raid and never bother to complete it after trying it once or twice. For me, it was one-and-done, never going back.

Me and these 4 other guys pretty much had to carry his goddamn ass all the way to big boi calus while he kept on complaining about how broken destiny 2 is. Not to mention that every time he died he blamed it all on us for not helping him, and apparently being trash at the game, even though we had all cleared normal leviathan 20+ times and the kid had 0 clears on normal leviathan.

2 RepliesTried doing a prestige a few days ago I’m open I only have a couple leviathan clears under just because we don’t like to raid to much. So we used lfg to get 3 others to run a prestige with, we made it clear we have never done prestige but wanted to start progressing before forsaken, a complete nightmare the 3 we brought in all in prestige gear all in the same clan all had over 200 clears. While my one friend was up killing the boss for a standard myself and my other friend were down trying to clear ads while the other 3 said lfg clanmates ran around doing nothing laughing while we got our asses handed to us we booted them from party and fireteam and left the raid and said -blam!- it I’m not going the lfg route again nor will I be touching raids anytime soon

It has a more than normal correlation with level of experience (a player has) when it comes to this amount of time after the lvl cap raise. In my experience, anybody that's lower than 350 (at this point in time) and tries to join our group has ZERO clears.

Welp, just noticed I would't even see they only want 385 since I don't see that anymore. I'd only see that if they type it in the description on destinylfg, since the message on the right isn't displayed if you have the level for it. Had a 348 in Normal EoW yesterday and everything was fine. Was a bit surprised at first and had to check what the recommended level is, which is 300. And again, no issues at all. Edit: honestly I don't see a lot of those ridicoulous requirement posts on destinylfg. Do you really see so many of them? That said all my characters have 385 gear available so I don't see the light requirements anymore. Huh. Guess I just answered this myself. The only occasion where I ask 380ish is for a -20 handicap Prestige Nightfall. I also took a 370in who did just fine as a downgraded 350.

They want a carry to the the clear and Light Level. So they bitch about people wanting to raid with people , who have like experience.

9 RepliesPower is capped at +50 of the recommended power level for a given area or activity So 350 is the cap for that 300 activity. A person at 350 and a person at 385 will be doing and taking identical damage. The cap was always at +40 going back to D1 until it was bumped to +50 somewhat recently, I think when Warmind dropped.
