  • No, you play tetris for the gameplay, not to grind for something that effects said gameplay. D2 on the other hand had fairly little hard grinding on release, only after warmind was released did they decide to up the amount of tokens things took by over double. They raised the highest rank from 20, to 50. I had already bought the season pass like a stupid sucker because a friend convinced me to do so, a mistake I will not be making again. They have pretty much only made D2 worse for all the extra grinding, the only people who love it are the ones who have no life's so they can dedicate the time to it. Or its for the ones who ONLY play D2 as a game, news flash D2 is neither a good enough game for it to be the only game I play, nor is the grind good enough to make me not want to hang myself. My brother did the faction rally for 1 faction over 3 weeks and even he hated it. I did each to completion, a grind which is worse than anything I have ever done, and I have played ALOT of warframe, WOW, AEION, FF14. The difference that makes it so bad in D2? The fact that there is almost no variety in grinding, its always the exact same thing over and over, and the rewards are catalysts. Which if you dont have your exotic gun might as well be useless for end game content. Its -blam!-ing stupid.... Sure, if it was to UNLOCK said catalyst, fine. I dont give a shit about the stat buffs, but the orbs of light are just way too good and strong and important. They also make the game more fun by allowing for more supers. So yeah, I do feel the "need" to grind for this stupid shit to get the catalyst, and even worse theres usually a stupid ass grind that can be pretty annoying to unlock it afterwards. They need to pick one or the other, because this stupid bullshit has pretty much confirmed my suspicions that forsaken with its light level 600 cap will be a grindy mess of shit that wont feel rewarding or fun to play, so I will not be buying it, nor will anyone in my clan, which makes up all real life friends or relatives. So -blam!- you bungie.

  • remember that a major portion of those who nag and complain asked and cried for the same grind that we have right now. everyone was like "I miss the omnigual grind or the dead orbit rare shader grind etc... Bungie responded based on that and now we have to grind. Although, its good u played Warframe, because we both know d2 grinding is no where near that yet still no one complains. I remember it took me a whole week of gameplay just to get the mats for vaubun prime, let alone farming relics for its pieces while awaiting for the stars to align for his parts to get back on the loot table. dude im on monster hunter world with 300 hours of gameplay and i am still missing many of the rarest gems and that is with at least 4 to 5 hours of grinding the ones that drop what i am looking for. better yet, last night i was on their forums and i came across a post of rare gems with players saying they got theirs after 600 -900 hours of gameplay. yet no one was complaining about it. There is hardly any posts about dry drop rates (while most of them believe that is how epic players become distinctive in monster hunter) As for the catalyst grind. Just play the game as u normally do, u will end up getting it anyways. I have almost all the catalysts and i have already earned two of the newer released ones and i am basiclly just doing the weeklys and sherpas. As for the faction rallys. It seems we r all making the same mistakes of thinking we have to have them all in one go, while i have done all three factions, i know for a fact that i could have gradually gotten them all anyways. The same with the iron banner. when it first opened, i grinded all the loot in the first week, afterwards i felt i over did when i saw that it opened three more times and i had nothing to do with it. i ended up grinding it with my buddies for no reason but to help. So take the grind as a plus to making things less rewarding while repetitive.
