Stuck on "Verifying Content" Destiny 2 - Xbox One

I'm stuck on "Verifying Content" when loading the game, then I get an error saying I already own content, then says "Expansion content appears to be damaged or missing and cannot be loaded. Please re-download and try again." Error Code: Boar I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Still having problem.

  • I have been playing for three days straight then when my husband and i started a strike we both got booted and my error code said marionberry which meant they were blaming my internet that I've never had issues with before. Then once we restarted our consoles my husband was able to get back onto destiny 2 but now mine says need to verify content and now it says canary as my code word. Now I remember why I stopped playing destiny bc it never seems to wanna work

  • This is happening to me now and it just goes to 59% and stops verifying and stops playing music but never error codes me

  • Same error is happening to me. It work and then stops working. I have to delete and reinstall the game to get it working. Fml

  • Im having the same problem, it says i already own the game, the expansion, then expansion appears to be damaged...

    This started happening to me on Saturday afternoon. (CDT) I first noticed something was unusual was a very long time to sign in, and once I finally did, some screens to a very long time to load, such as my ship In Orbit, and some of my Inventory screens, notably, my sub-class screen. So, I shut down D2, and restarted my Xbox One X console. That was when I first got the repeated "Verifying Content" failure. I followed the BNet help page's last step, which is to uninstall and reinstall D2. Which I did, and I was able to log in and play as normal. Earlier today, while trying to sign in, I again encountered the "Verifying Content" message, and the "Boar" error. This time, I simply tried signing in again. I was successful, but I encountered the same slow loading screens as yesterday, although they seem to be loading normally now. My boyfriend, who also plays D2 on this console, reported possibly not able to access either DLC content that we own. He said that Rare engrams were dropping below 300, even though he is at 385. He also reported that he was unable to damage certain enemies in "The Whispers" mission. We are not sure if this related, but we are including it, just in case. UPDATE: While trying to a Normal Nightfall, my game froze during the strike, followed by my Xbox shutting down. I restarted, rejoined the strike, only to have the same thing happen again. After my console came back up again, I tried signing into D2. However, after selecting my Titan, the screen faded to black, with the character select music playing--until the music began to stutter, and Destiny 2 shut down, although I was simply returned to my Home screen. I attempted to sign in 2 more times, but they failed in the same way. I have since uninstalled D2 again, restarted my XB1X, and am in the process of re-installing D2.

  • I had the same around the time you experienced this. In my case: - Never happened before. - Local gamesharing - Account that bought the game worked perfectly - Account that is being shared to got constantly "boar" error code after trying to verify during half an hour - Uninstalled and reinstalled the 10MB "expansions" a few times during this half an hour. - Suddenly worked again as if nothing happened. - Guaranteed no network issues during this period.

  • Now seems to be working... after 5th attempt. Strange...
