If I only had a nickle for every time I got sniped in the head (D1) while strafing and spraying bullets in someone's face. Latency advantage was all you needed in D1 to do well with a sniper rifle. In D2, being on the wrong side of latency makes GL, VW and sub machine guns nearly impossible to deal with. At least in D1, good awareness and anticipation somewhat gave you a decent chance regardless. In D2 you just have to pray that the force is with you instead of them. I can't even feel all that great about having a good game or making a big play because in the back of my mind I'm wondering if my opponent is dealing with the same shit that sometimes happens to me. But good luck finding very many people that will admit to even the slightest possibility of ever having any kind of advantage. Fragile egos and shallow thought. If it doesn't happen to them or if they're simply unaware when it does, then "it just doesn't happen at all". Also, it's really weird because sometimes I can play D2 for a week or two with minimal issues. Then all of a sudden it just becomes unplayable as if someone just said "Nope, we don't want you having fun anymore, you aren't worthy. Time to flip the switch". So strange.

  • Haha, finally someone who understands Destiny pvp. I complain about those things for years on this forum. Some players have average k/d's 4-5 and they think that they are so much better skilled than the rest. What they don't realize is that they are simply on the good side of latency. And as a very experienced PvP player i always feel the difference between just being outplayed and when the game simply won't let me. For the first time in 4 years, yesterday i could play like a god the whole day. This while normally i struggle to get 1 k/d. My last 25 matches yesterday my k/d is 2.32 (while my average k/d is around 1.2), which i have NEVER gotten in 4 years of frustration. For me another proof that Destiny PvP is a joke for the most players. And i envy those so called Pro's, which are always on the good side of latency. I also understand that they really believe that they are just good. On the good side of latency you can't see the difference. But on the wrong side of latency it's very frustrated. Hopefully Bungie will do something about this Destiny PvP CORE problem, as soon as possible.

  • I'm glad you're finally having some fun! I hope it continues for you! I'm going to stick with D1 for now but will eventually test the D2 waters again at some point. Looks to me like a lot of D1 players have left to try out the new 6v6 quickplay so I might give it a go some time soon.
