Srsly this shit is so annoying in the new prestige raid lairs I did all 3 raids this week on prestige and you can only get 3-4 deaths and I like that you can’t die to many times but the whole 30 secs revive moment is sooo annoying srsly especially on the SoS where you can be like 2 secs away from killing the boss but the shit still kills you.
Just remove it

5 RepliesEdited by Hydrilus: 7/20/2018 5:25:31 PMIn Prestige it's fine imo, but for Normal Mode it should definitely be done away with. It's a huge reason why noobies ultimately don't want to bother with raids (and why experienced players don't want to bother with noobies), because the wipe mechanic turns minor mistakes into huge points of frustration for everyone. Without the wipe mechanic, you'd be able to recover from those minor mistakes and still succeed. Noobies get the experience they need (without the toxicity from frustrated players), and everyone overall is much happier with the raid.

Seeing a focus on using enrage as a means of punishing players rather than a wipe would be preferable. It lets you as a player and a team use your ability as a player to keep things going. However it doesn't solve the mechanics so you still need to do that. I know they do wipes for the purpose of making players/teams think about how their strategy wasn't working. That said it also tends to over reach.

9 RepliesMove the party wipe they have in normal mode and put it into Prestige (or outright remove it, either works). It's dumb to limit player revives in regular raids when inexperienced players will be a commodity.

somebody people here are kind of stupid ... "The whole team has to wipe if one person dies" wtf? You have 5 revives and you have no 30 sec time penatly .... so revive the person and keep going wtf??

3 RepliesThe token revives in normal raid is just... simply put, stupid.. Its a normal raid, its meant to be forgiving and casual.. But the token revives makes it so you are forced to wipe if someone is stupid and gets themselves killed and no one gets the revive. Its an ok mechanic for a hard mode raid.. But I honestly prefer the original no revives at all during a hard mode encounter, and toss in hard mode challenges, made the hard mode raids in D1 alot more fun and challenging. The tokens are just stupid. Simply that.

3 RepliesEdited by mja calg: 7/20/2018 10:04:03 PMLol - Prestige sucks in EOW. The weapon restrictions (Only Pulse, SMG, Grenade Launcher for Primary, Secondary and Heavy) are not a huge issue, but only having 1 clip of ammo in a weapon and not getting any more ammo until you use it up Is a major PITA. Secondly, your armor is tissue paper and the Vex eat you alive. You take a tonne more damage and the Minotaurs pretty much 1 hit kill you than ever happened in my 25 runs completions of EOW. Not worth my time and since my account is apparently bugged (It will not drop a single catalyst for Crucible where I have 500 wins in Season 3, won't drop a single Catalyst in strikes even though I have over 600 Strikes, NF's and Prestige NF done in Season 3 and will not drop more than 1 weapon in EP despite 50+ bosses killed), there is nothing to grind for because I'm shut out. I'll find another game to purchase and my Destiny Journey (since D1 Beat on Xbox 360) will come to an end.

if you get killed 2 secs before the boss dies .... what would it change lol

Keep it . This game needs more difficulty instead of being a cake walk

7 RepliesEdited by The Wrizzard of Oz: 7/20/2018 4:05:56 PMNormal raids: Toss it Prestige raids: Keep it Prestige is meant to feel difficult and while I also don't like the wipe mechanic I feel it adds to the difficulty. Edit: This is also coming from someone that is helping fellow clan members and other guardians looking to run the prestige raids.

Bump then maybe I'll raid.

yespleaseremove it, replace it with more loot and new enemies

1 ReplyYa the D1 system was better. Some of my most badass moments was when someone died in the hard raid, but we still ended up winning.
-
Most boss mechanics were designed to insta kill you if you screwed something up anyways, so the token revive system is just rubbing salt in the wound.

9 RepliesHere we go again. There is nothing left in this community but rock bottom trashcans. "Remove wipes in raids". Is this a joke?
-
1 ReplyHonestly I think it should go back to how it was in D1 and make it to where you can't revive people in prestige. Gives people more reason to not die.
-
Raids are hard? Good.

7 RepliesPlay smart, as a team and Don't die. Easy peasy. Raid wipes come in 4 flavors: Reckless/too aggressive play Misadventures/bad platforming Loss of focus/attention to surroundings Mechanic/comms misplays. All are correctable.

1 ReplyI prefer D1 style. While I believe that a death should matter, it shouldn't bring the whole team down. Players die sure but what about lag? I don't think that the fate of a team should rely on the player facing the most inconsistent lag. Destiny has proved that it has unstable servers since launch.

So you want a chance to not revive a team mate so it’s harder?

40 RepliesThen don't die? This rarely occurs with experienced teams, part of the learning curve
