Online Credit Limit Reached.
I assume this means I cant earn anymore credits for a certain amount of time?
Does anyone know how long.
Yes I am aware its because ive been playing a LOT of Gruntpocalypse today. I was playing MM with some friends earlier but they all went offline so I just decided to go for Captain (evidently this means I earned too much too fast).
Im not really bothered at the cap, Id just like to know how long I have to wait.
15 minutes?
A few days?
A week?

Why is bungie is trying to micro manage everyone who bought the game. If you were old enough to buy it, you are old enough not to have bungie acting like an overprotective mother. I am a disabled combat vet and killing imaginary creatures and ranking up is pretty much my trip to the beach. Sorry that there are people who cheat, but focus on them not the people who play legit.

Whilst this truly does s*ck for me right now, I have to say it is fair. My girlfriend (who I live with) finally decided to go away with her friends for the weekend. "Great!" thought I. "Finally some time to crack on with my Reach commendations". I spent yesterday evening smashing the bejesus out of campaign, and most of today owning Gruntpocalypse. I shall admit, there was a certain degree of splash damage involved (courtesy of the target locater) and a certain degree of resuming of saved games on Heroic at the end of a certain level. Naughty me. However, I'm now gearing up for an evening of multiplayer with my two brothers and lo and behold, credit cap kicks in out of the blue. Now... I'm not complaining, because I know I've been level grinding like hell for the last 24 hrs or so, but if this happens without warning and let's says I now decide to play through the evening with my brothers, what's to say I won't suddenly get banned, also without warning? I appreciate the need for measures like this, as there are some very crafty people around, and nobody likes to feel as though they're having to work hard to achieve something that others have achieved a quick way by being dishonest and lazy (hands up on this one, so please spare me the criticism), but it would at least be nice to know where the boundaries are. Suppose for one minute that someone who is just genuinely a very good player plays Reach a lot online and scores a lot of points. Let's say they're playing well and hit a few commendation targets in fairly quick succession. Is it fair to place a limit on credits? Surely it would be more fair and sensible to just temporarily block the commendations? Anyway, rant over.

Yeah, I played late last night and started playing again this morning trying to earn my next level. I just leveled up and then I got the message that I've reached my Cr Cap for the day and it's only 1230!! I guess I'm not playing any Halo on a saturday night!! WTF!!! I do agree that challenges should not count towards the Cr Cap. The weekly challenge this week is for 16,000Cr's. That's almost 25% of the daily limit. I only had one more challenge left for today and that would have also given me my weekly challenge. It's a good thing that I didn't get that and get capped before I got all of those points! I think that they should also raise the daily Cr limit on the weekends as well. I've never had a game that actually "Forced" me to stop playing. I've always loved the Halo series but this is a little bit of a let down. Don't get me wrong, I'll still play and I'll still love the game, but I'm hurt bungie. I always look forward to playing with my friends on the weekend and now I can't tonight. Guess I'll go rent Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood!! lol

always annoying to see the Cr cap message. So you don't want people ranking up to fast.. that's fine, but please for the love of god let us still receive credits, they just don't count towards rank once you reach the daily cap. Some of you people say "play for fun." But sorry feels like such a waste playing a bunch of matches and getting nothing for them. Considering buying crappy Black Ops.. atleast i get rewarded for the time i play and not punished with a cap [Edited on 11.27.2010 4:10 AM PST]

I hit the credit cap after I did the weekly...its the first time I hit it...they need to get rid of it.. Or atleast.make the challenges not count

This puts me at around 30k for the day, so something has either changed or someone is wrong about the 60k. This could be solved by the daily and weekly challenges not being counted towards the cap. I only play like 4 hours a day, 3 to 4 days a week, and should not be reaching the cap in 2 hours.

Sir, The word tomorrow in your post is a bit... vague. I live in Japan, is my tomorrow when it normally happens for me? or is it GMT?, Pacific(you guyss are in Washington, iirc). Please provide a bit more detail on the credit limit so I can plan around it.

So offline players can only earn 10,000 credits every 24hours. But we can save them up & within a week have 70,000? If I am logged in with a silver account is my credit cap raised from 10,000/24h? & does a higher rank increase the credit cap? Sorry for all the questions... I just have no idea & would like to know. Someone please answer & thank you very much!

i get 2895 for completing but average 4500 per game/ without challenges / commendations so i can play approx 12-14 games befor i hit the limit

wow that's lame... so because i refuse to pay for an internet connection i already have i get less of the game? that's bull-blam!-... (at least i bought reach for $15 used haha) so if i spend all my credits now, i will be stuck at 0? it doesnt reset for offliners? :/

PLEASE ANSWER... I see everyone getting 60 000 creds a day! I can only get up to about 10 000 than I cannot get anymore... Do I need to rank up to increase my credcap? (ranking up is near impossible too now, I get like 50 points per firefight game) (im offline player btw)

[/quote] As you increase in rank your credit earnings increase aswell. which means less time before you hit that cap. i am not sure if the cap increases as your rank does but all i know is im tired of hitting the cap limit everyday when i get home from work to play for a bit. i cant even play for more than 5 hours before hitting this ridiculously low cap. They need to bring back games won to determine rank. this credit idea is totally bogus.

Credit Limit is at 60k. I hit it at least 4 times a week. There is no Weekly cap. The cap resets for me at 12 am everyday central time. Also 60k is too low of a cap. I can usually hit it in about 4-5 hours. Which is just enough time when I get off work. However days that I have off, I would like to earn more than 60k. Yes I have a life. Yes I go outside so everyone who thinks they know me, you do not.

agreed, if they are going to make a cap, they should make it impossible to get in one day playing normally. 60 thousand credit limit is ridiculous. i reach the credit limit each day i play (and i dont even have to boost). after i reach the limit, whats the point in playing? i just turn my xbox off because its no fun after that point.

Sadly i find this to be ridiculous that Bungie decides to put such a low credit limit cap of 60 thousand each day. It bugs me that everytime i play i recieve 2000++ credits each game, i complete all of the challenge (without credit farming) and i still reach my credit limit max in 5 to 8 hours. This is ridiculous that while i play i am earning no credits becuase of such a low cap. I feel that the cap should be higher because it seems as though even legit users continue to reach credit limit cap each and everyday as they get higher in rank. Credit limit should be 90 thousand. Because from what ive been hearing everytime people are reaching the credit limit cap they just stop playing, becuase whats the point in playing a game that bungie doesnt want you to earn points for anymore? i mean seriously raise the cap a bit so people can continue to enjoy the game. 90 thousand isnt that much higher and its a more realistic number as a cap so that people cant reach it every day they play. im tired of getting penalized for playing normally by bungie!! its out right ridiculous that i pay to play and get nothing out of it once i reach my cap.
