I assume this means I cant earn anymore credits for a certain amount of time?
Does anyone know how long.
Yes I am aware its because ive been playing a LOT of Gruntpocalypse today. I was playing MM with some friends earlier but they all went offline so I just decided to go for Captain (evidently this means I earned too much too fast).
Im not really bothered at the cap, Id just like to know how long I have to wait.
15 minutes?
A few days?
A week?
Thanks for any help.

take out the credit cap!!!!

I agree. The credit cap was a horrible move for Bungie. A campaign cap would make sense but Matchmaking??? I hope Bungie does something about this before Nov. 9. I know if they don't, Black Ops will be The Game for me.
Posted by: ShadowOPS99mm Its one day, you can only earn 60k credits a day, i might be wrong it could be anywhere from 60k-120k credits
Who cares what the credit cap is, it's retarded either way. Who the hell is Bungie to tell us how much Reach we're allowed to play or not. Why should they care if some super dork wants to play all day, everyday. Black Ops ftmfw!

plus i had a day off today to catch up to my friends then i get daily cap wow. why play if your not ranking up or not getting points just another reason why ppl will stop playing halo.
-
first was cap on the ranks and now cap on credits a day. Just giving ppl more of a reason to get Black ops. Good Job bungie [Edited on 11.04.2010 10:05 PM PDT]

This is lame, I was playing my third game in team arena when I got capped, played the last two without getting any credits. It's funny cause I was barely playing any gruntpocalypse, it was more so just normal firefight and MM, but whatever. I can't wait till Black Ops comes out. [Edited on 11.04.2010 9:44 PM PDT]

You don`t get banned for playing to much score attack or gruntpoclypse only if you manipulate the game in tricking the credit system or any other form of modding.
-
All you have to wate is tell the next day
-
if we want to waste our whole day playing score attack then let us, i see no reason to ban us for being so into the game we grew up with, cause we got a lot .!

ha ha

Want to be able to let people play all they want and EARN credits. Stop the people from farming credits with revert to last save glitches and what not. Then apply the credit cap to campaign only. Allow unlimited credits for match making games.

Having a credit cap is in my opinion just about the dumbest thing i'd ever seen in an online game. I play way too much and hit the CC almost every day but I do it legit and playing MM. Just hit it again and I'm sick of this. Its takin alot of time to get to Brigidier grade 2 but considering most days comes a time in the day in which I hit a "credit cap" it makes the game pointless in my opinion to play any further. I'm beast at COD anyway so because of halo having rediculous lvling restrictions I'm bout ready to trade it in come Nov 9th for Black ops unless Bungie gets rid of or raises the daily and weekly credit cap limit. p.s I've noticed an increase in the overall amount of credits earned after matches after the rank cap lifted which makes hitting the daily credit cap much quicker to get to... and that was dumb letting you earn more credits faster only to slam your face in a wall sooner when that annoying credit cap message appears on your screen.
Posted by: Killer2401
Posted by: lukems Hello friends, The Online Credit Limit is a daily cap on Credit earn - it does reset so come tomorrow you can continue your earnapalooza. We've seen other systems come and go where rampant abuse of progression systems has devalued the online ecosystem and the Online Credit Limit is just one of many countermeasures against these activities. Actually playing your favorite gametype or checkpoint in Reach isn't going to get you banned, but it may get you to the cap faster. Thanks, -luke
What is, dare I ask, the magic number of said daily credit limit?
60,000
Posted by: KisskerVenwrath there is a daily limit to help keep abusers to a minimal. Go outside for a few hours. As for getting Lt.Colonel grade 3 and no more- Go get a lot of sun and relax. When the level cap is raised, more credits will be permitted, this is to prevent someone from farming say 5,000,000 and being Max rank as soon as the next ranks hit.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

credit caps are bungie's way of saying it's time to get some air and go outside.
-
you only that way for a day. it keeps people from credit farming. i think it still counts towards your rank but it doesn't show until thenext day. or vise versa.
-

if your talking about the level cap, its going to moved up after we(the bungie community and halo reach players) complete the 117 million challenges. Then you will no longer be stuck at lt. Colonel grade 3
