From what you have described, this is the best way to enjoy the game!
No need to rush, take it all in! When you get to lvl 30, google LZ boss map! Don’t forget to switch to World Tier 5 for the best drops.
If you see the DLC for sale Underground and Survival are a lot of fun!

Oh yea, I'm still plugging away. I'm at level 27 and I'm at kips bay. Up to that point I have gotten every mission, side mission, encounter, phone recording, drone, survival guides and echoes that shows on the map. My security, tech and medical are at 90% and working on maxing out all 3. Its a really good shooter imo. You have to be strategic when you enter an encounter. Face tanking gets you no where. Knowing your surroundings is really important. Really enjoying that aspect as compared to bum rushing through hordes of enemies. Yep, good game so far. I'm sure I will pick up the season pass as soon as I'm ready for it.
