1) down to the publisher not even Bungie 2) tons of companies do it so you should be mad at all of them 3) this happens in every media industry, not just games, and people dont seem to care. Companies get exclusivity deals all the time, from TV channels to music to magazines. 4) people dont understand that the huge ammount of money they get from Sony or whomever, goes into the game as a whole, for all of us, do you think the couple of guns and a strike was payed for by Sony? No.. that probably took $2 out of the $100 they gave them, as an obviously not acurate example. We all benefit from the deal, playstation users just benefit MORE. 5) I was an xbox player in d1, now a PC player on d2 so you cant accuse me of being a playstation fan. Its a buisness, thats what you do in it, you make money, if you want to be outraged at this exclusivity, you should also be outraged at the entire media indsutry, hell EVERY industry in the whole world, since they all use exclusivity in one way or another. Dont undermine your own opinion by only caring about one single game.

Okay keep getting punched in the face then. Im simply pointing out the flaw in peoples arguments, not telling them if they are right or wrong. Is exclusivity bad for the consumer? Yes and No, it always has a pro and a con. On one hand, we can see the obvious con of some people not being able to enjoy what others can, on the other hand, you have no idea where that money from Sony went, you dont seriously think all the millions of $ they got were spent on a single strike and a couple weapons? No, it went into the game itself, in effect making everyones experience a little better, that is the pro. Lets take another example shall we. If a band or artist chooses to EXCLUSIVELY sign a deal with a record label, is that bad for the consumer? Yes, because you have to use whatever method the label wants to distribute it, so youre playing by their rules. If its only on iTunes for $9.99, then you cant listen to it on spotify, therefore exclusivity is bad. On the other hand, it is good, because that band or artist might have had no hope of reaching as many listeners, had it not been for the support of the label, they provide funding, a known name to search, the platform, the exposure, which in the end is very good for the consumer. This is how a discussion is formed, thanks for not leaving on a silly comment like before, at least you tried to make a point this time.
