• All are stripped down and easy overall, but each has certain aspects that are harder to "master."

To master, Hunters. Overall they require exotics for their supers to be good, and against most supers they get blown up cause of the lack of super armor(outside of masterwork armor). Their neutral game is good but if you haven't played them, it can feel odd. They don't do any one thing particularly better than everything else(except running). Why I don't think the Titans are the hardest to master is simple. Area denial, and high damage supers. The titans have a kit jam packed full of area denial from their grenades to their abilities. They are very good at holding a point and deterring people from entering areas(which fits their motif and honestly even if bubble sucks I sure ain't gonna go into one without a super or heavy). Titans are easier to master because they do what they do very easily. Their neutral game is also very good since their jump is very easy to learn and allows the Titan a high amount of mobility with very little drawbacks. Essentially Titans are dicks and I don't like them when they use their supers. Warlocks. Their jump is an absolute mess but if you get good at it, the jump is probably one of the best jumps in the game. Just the fact that it lets you drop straight down if you deactivate it is very helpful in PVP if you are backing up or trying to run from a fight. It also gives a decent boost of speed when you boost forwards letting to close gaps incredibly easy in your super allowing for a great aggressive playstyle. Outside of the jump, the Warlock easily has some of the most easy supclasses to pick up and master. The supers(outside of Stormcaller) are very user friendly and are very forgiving when you use them. The Warlocks also have a large amount of healing abilities allowing them to stay in the fight and pressure fights and points incredibly hard. So outside of the jump Warlocks are probably my choice to be the second easiest to master, the titans being the easiest. The Hunters. Obviously not a community favourite and know as the class that screams nerf(although now they seem to be the victim of nerf screams). Hunters have one of the most awkward jumps while also being one of the easiest to understand. Press the button you go up, press it again you go up again. But being easy to understand doesn't equal being easy to master. Their supers also(with the exception of Arcstrider cause they got a speed boost so apparently they are overpowered now) are accuracy based. Now while they same goes Warlocks and Titans, Hunters are capped at a certain amount of shots. One miss of a golden gun shot and a flaming hammer or sword will one shot you. Finally Hunters are not actually good at anything really. They have no real healing, (outside of Wormhusk which op stated not to talk about), they have minimal if any super armor(not including master work armor), they don't have any real area denial outside of a tether that may or may not work, golden gun is capped at an 8 second timer(which without forwards momentum makes it hard to make aggressive pushes), and overall their jump makes them an easy target(not as easy as floating Warlocks but easier than low flying Titans). Hunters require a lot of map knowledge and luck when using supers cause the drain is so high. As a Hunter it is much harder to play cause you don't have any one role. You literally dish out massive damage in PVE and in PVP you kinda just troll and harass. More of a hit and run which in D2 is hard to do with the teamshooting. TL;DR Titans are easiest to master, Warlocks are second easiest, and Hunters are the hardest to master. These are obviously my opinions and you can disagree with them. I understand Hunter is the most played but the majority of them are about as clueless as the people who face them. Most golden gunners use their ult too soon so just wait 8 seconds. Arcstrider users have something called tunnel vision. Just jump off the map and they normally follow you(if they don't you just wasted their time on their fast draining super. If they are using Nightstalker...... honestly no Hunter uses Nightstalker legitimately unless they are actually good outside of mayhem

          • I'd say titan. hunter is a good starting class that will introduce you to the idea of destiny's abilities warlock is a bit more adept with abilities, their just more complex titan is the hardest to master because the playstyle required to be a powerful titan must be discovered on your own

          • None of them are harder or easier to master. It just takes time to learn the small strengths and weaknesses each class has.

          • I'd say that Warlock is the hardest to be exceptionally good in situations with. Hunters can focus on dealing damage and moving quickly and stealthily. Titans can also do so, with a bit of defending the team. No need to worry about stealth here. Warlocks need to deal with having low resilience (similar to Hunters) They also have to provide buffs and healing for their teammates, while still dealing a decent amount of damage. It's all a matter of perspective.

I main a warlock and have since D1 y1. It is by far the hardest to master. Hunters and titans are a lot more straight forward and are much easier to use, especially in pvp. Hunters can run away and dodge around or jump at the first sign of trouble while titans can tank more damage than either other class. Warlocks are stuck in the awkward middle ground lacking speed and resilience, which is only made up for by somewhat weak and difficult to master healing abilities that require a lot if skill to make effective. This is not to say that warlocks are worse than hunters or titans, warlocks are just much more difficult to use and therefore you will have more titans and hunters playing at full potential, while having very few warlocks that can keep up simply because you need to be more skilled to be equivalent to the other classes.

            • Depends on the activity. In PvE, if you exclude the jump, warlocks and titans are the easiest and most straight forward classes to use for a beginner. Their supers tend to be pretty straightforward and can be used for boss damage or ad clearing, with the exception of the bubble, but even then the usage is still very straight forward. Hunters on the other hand in PvE if you run Gunslinger or Nightstalker tend to be more specialised and their supers lack the overall utility that supers of the classes tend to have. If you try to clear mobs with gunslinger, you're not going to have a good time. Arc strider is easy mode for hunters and is probably the easiest subclass to master in the game.

                • The fact that 116 people chose Hunter is laughable. I'm a Warlock main but every time I switch to my hunter for raids/PVP it turns into easy mode. I'm sure that's why waaaaay more people play on Hunter than any other class in the game.

                • Depends on the circumstances. Mobility wise, for example, Warlocks by far take the most skill. Glide can often be pretty inconsistent if timed wrong (somethings it forces you to the floor or abyss faster if you don't proc it before you reach your max jump height) and Blink on Voidwalker requires you to plan where you're planning to warp or you'll just be smacking walls/roofs a lot.

Warlock for a reason it's a class you actually have to think before committing yourself in how you choose your approach in whatever circumstances. Second titan it's a tank but like a warlock you carefully have to strategically use your set abilities. Hunters are the easiest to play as and master. Simple and straightforward with the abilities in however you chose to play.

                  • Honestly all of them are very simple. Spam right trigger. But for me the hardest learning curve was learning when and where to place my feather as a Nightstalker, and how to find a balance between passive and aggressive with Arcstider.
