The Best Way to Use Hammer Strike

Hammer Strike on Sunbreaker titan is basically the only way for titans to help out with team damage considering that rallying barricade is flat out worse than Lunafaction boots. Considering Sunbreaker titan also has one of the highest DPS supers in the game, it makes them the best choice in any raid or event hands down. Most people probably consider Hallowfire Heart as the only option for Sunbreakers because of the massive benefits it grants when you have your super. However, the mk. 44 stand asides also can be used to help with your hammer strike usage. To figure out which one is best, I went into patrol with 3 different loadouts. -Hallowfire Heart with solar melee mod (this is the mod it comes with so its the one most people use) -Mk. 44 Stand Asides alone (they come with an acceleration mod) -Mk. 44 Stand Asides with solar melee mod From what I found out, Mk. 44 stand asides alone are not worth using. They have around a 44 second cool down for your melee, and that can be achieved with mods alone, with out an exotic. With a mod though, you get around a 34 second cool down, which... is worse than Hallowfire Heart with your super. Hallow fire heart gets you a 25 second cool down for your melee which is really good. But does that mean you shouldn't use Mk. 44 stand asides? Personally, I think no. Hallowfire Heart requires you to have your super to get its benefit, which would be cool if the Sunbreaker super wasn't as awesome as it is. It is one of the greatest supers, if not, the greatest supers for DPS and should be used as much as possible. Mk. 44 stand asides allow for your hammer strike to be used more often, without the need of reducing your super usage. Hallowfire Heart is still a great exotic as for bosses like Calus that can not be effectively hammer struck, you still get more grenade energy and your melee more often, and you don't lose much when use your super. But for bosses in Escalation Protocol, or Pleasure Gardens, I would say there is definitely some use to the Mk. 44 Stand Asides.
