Why can’t guardians find out their past life?
This has been on my mind for a long time and it pokes at me more with shinobu and ana bray find out their past
And that question is simple why can’t our guardians find out their past life or even try to find out
It’s like an unwritten rule but why is it like that why?!

i think it's more a reason of immersion than anything else. because there's one rules that alway apply when you can make your own characters in a game and it's that you're alway gonna end up making them a backstory(no exception) guadians don't remember their past because they don't have a past in the game, the only past they have(and therefore remember) is the past the players give them. lots of rpgs today include a customizable character with no past because it allow you to make your own character with his own story that is the ultimate form of roleplay
