First things first, lmao!
I joined the raid on my warlock on lfg, mix group, couple adults couple kids, all good.
One of the kids chirps up asking if I was a noob and had I done the raid before...
My warlocks almost 380, I know that alone means nothing but I just laugh n say yup done it all don't worry.
He chirps up again and says why you got that basic emblem on then, you're just a nub, put on a raid one he says.
I said look at my gear it's all raid gear, I don't care how basic my emblem is, all my new ones in storage, I don't waste my time on them.
*kicked*
Finds new group, didn't really wanna play with two kids anyway 🙃
I only got around to setting my emotes a few days ago and never touched a shader either 😆
Edit additional for the confused ones..
It was for leviathan NORMAL
I lasted 30 seconds in orbit in the party
I have only cleared it fully 7 times but the kid DID NOT CHECK RAID REPORT he was only worried about an emblem.
If 7 clears isn't enough for you the. You are an elitist dick 🖕
Also most teams are fine, even some kids are fine and some adults are dicks.
Don't let the dicks put you off looking for groups, laugh like I did.

1 ReplyIf I here a squeaker I just return to obit, can’t stand them screaming and ultimately blaming everything on anyone else but themselves. It’s like fingernails on a chalkboard.
-
3 RepliesGuy's clearly said have emblem & no matter how easy normal levy is it's on you for not doing that before you joined . Your raid gear could of come from many failures to complete it armour means nothing only Aura from prestige . Would of took you minutes to just go the tower before you joined & all good then .

1 ReplyAll I ever did in D1 was raid, couldn’t tell you how many times I ran VoG or Crota. Just always had a good time, met a ton of great people. Now I can run both raids with my eyes closed playing with my feet and still out preform most. Until I joined this random group (kids) and got booted for my Grimoire not being some insane number. It happens, but usually for the better. The people that do stuff like that are the ones that suck and want to be carried. That’s why they’re so selective. They’re also pretty likely to get stuck on a raid encounter for two hours...

Skill doesn't matter, must have Gjallarhorn. If I die I will blame it on you for not using it. That sums up my raiding experience in D1.

72 RepliesEdited by Slurchin: 7/11/2018 3:07:58 AMYou should have equipped the emblem. Plain and simple. Sounds like you were being difficult and lazy. There are plenty of scrubs who swear they've completed the raid, and lie about it. I'm glad you were kicked for insubodination. Everyone is allowed to set expectations.

Stupid children as always. I had one last week ask if I had done the raid before....while I was wearing the prestige crown & emblem. Then complains mid-game that I am not pulling my weight, because he was too busy trying to chat during gauntlet and pools, blocking the calls. Then had another one later that the "leader" was one of those kids who repeats EVERYTHING, and does it so badly they make it confusing. Stuff like " Its 2 void over here" ,"We need 2 solar over there". All withing seconds of the actual call, making it way way harder than it needs to be. I got so frustrated by the lack of actual info I ended up leaving at the boss. Did not want to waste another minute on them. Good thing though was the next day I did EoW in about 40 mins with a quality team of LFG peeps I know and kept on my friends list. And did Calus in just under an hour later with another good LFG group team that knew the ropes, and didn't mind that my Mic had cut out mid-game (its broken, new one coming). To the point you were making though about the emblems, some people seem to think and Emblem is the pinnacle of D2 achievement. They cannot fathom that someone would forgo "end game" ones for others they find aesthetically pleasing.

1 ReplyI require a minimum of 200,000 clears to join my raid team
-
1 ReplyBlame bungie for the state of the raid community especially d2 raids as they made them so everyone has to do something and if 1 dies you all die if you don't get that person up and even worse there's a limit of 1 person can revive each other and only once lol so now you can't have a clutch moment in the raids like on destiny 1. D2 raid system is garbage
-
And players like that are the #2 reason I don't bother with the raids or LFG (#1 is social anxiety). Toxic elitist brats.
-
Those people who post raid required such as the emblem, close to max light level, or be kicked cannot complain about raid paid carries as they will be cause this to be a thing just like trials carries... :p

4 RepliesThe only way you get into my raid teams if you have completed the sky burners catalyst....just saying (Obligatory 'this-is-clearly-humor' comment)
-
3 RepliesThe people here defending your "kickers" are what's wrong with this community.
-
1 ReplyUnless you can find a cool clan, it's better to avoid raids, too toxic & a complete waste of time.
-
1 ReplyIf you refuse to do a simple task before the raid why would they expect you to do a simple task during the raid?
-
1 ReplyDid LFG state that you needed the emblem? Not to sound like a giant asshole or elitist idiot, but if you just equipped the emblem it's not like it would have been much of a problem. The team may have been a bunch of pricks though, so if anything you might wanna be glad you didn't play with such a lovely team as those guys. Still, asshole teams suck.

3 RepliesKicked from ep for not having a mic.
-
I refuse to play with kids.

1 ReplyThis is why I stopped raiding all together. Haven't touched the raid in D2 once. And probably never will. I miss the D1 raids tho.
-
This community just has a lot of assholes for some reason.
-
I lost all of the patience I had left, before D2 came out when it came to Raids. The incentive is completely gone now.

1 ReplyStill haven't finished a raid yet... Need to get onto that LFG.

The raid group thing can be a bit off Putting. Last night I did the Leviathan raid for my second time. I had a 370 Titan and when I joined (using the Xbox LFG) they were asking me my experience like it was an interview. I told them I only completed the raid once so technically I know how to do half of the jobs on each section. They said we'll try you out but if you die a few times you're gone. I said fair enough. Then we got to the baths and I watched as they had trouble getting the mechanics down and someone left. That's a tell tale sign that it's about to fall apart so I went ahead and said thanks and left. I tried a new group and they were a pretty nice group of teens. I explained myself again and they worked with it. We completed the raid and did the underbelly even though we had to get a sixth on pretty much every section. I thanked them for the opportunity and moved on. The LFG part of the group finding while not horrible was not enjoyable experience wise. I think I would have preferred a raid requirement of for guardians instead of six. I think I would have an easier time getting friends together for something like that on a weekly basis. All that being said that was a great group of guys I got to play with that if you made a mistake you were able to talk it through.

Honestly, you are better off. I have joined plenty of raids like this and the elitist posters usually SUCK! I wind up carrying them and they blame ME for their mistakes. Whenever I offer up kind suggestions, they ignore me or kick me from the party. Screw these dumb arses.

2 RepliesI've given up on raiding. I just don't care anymore. There was never a reason to care in the first place. I still have fun doing the occasional PvP quickplay and strikes. If there are any side quests or weapons quests that don't force me into the raid I'll do those. Whatever. :|

47 RepliesEdited by Sky: 7/10/2018 9:40:40 PMSo are we sharing raid horror stories about rude people? I have one that kind of really annoyed me.. So I will be honest, I am a female. I have done many clears of raids, and know how to do them. This took place back in D1, during year 3 when weekly featured raids were a thing. VoG was the weekly raid, and I had been searching a bit to find a group to do it. Came across a post asking for help, and so I sent a message.. First thing I hear when I get in is a squeaker.. some little punk complaining about people not knowing how to do raids, and yadda yadda... I can hear also the faint voice of another female gamer, kind of quiet and a bit timid.. The punk kid then starts in on how terrible female gamers are, and how they dont know how to do anything, and goes as far as to say female players are just bad over all at games.. I tore into him, since he had no clue till then I was a female gamer..I called him out on why people were leaving and how long they had been at it, and said that maybe females, and no body, wanted to play with him because he was an entitled snot nosed brat. The few other gamers, two of them, including the other female there, all started laughing because the kid began to stammer and stutter and was threatening to kick me.. I told him to go ahead. But I didnt give him the satisfaction and just left. Iv had similar instances to this, but this one got to me because the poor girl there was just sitting there taking it.. I often feel alot of female gamers do this, just so they can do things in the game.. I dont tolerate it anymore. I make my own fireteams, and dont put up with this crap from any gamer. Edit: Thank you all for all the great replies. Good to see such positive nice people still lurk around the forums and in the game. Good gaming, Guardians.

2 RepliesI've got some stories back from when I used to lfg back in d1 before I got a clan Ok so we where going to do wotm and some rando from lfg joins and the fireteam leader asks if he knows what to do and he says yes, when we where going to start the raid we couldn't do it because not all players can enter this activity and while we are trying to figure out what is happening the guy from lfg says "wait guys it says here I need to own rise of iron to do the raid" Some other day I had gotten some people from lfg and our sixth joins but he was really low light so I ask him to get his high light gear on for the raid since I tought he might have just been playing with some year 1 gear but he tells me to chill and that he has done the raid several times on his other account, I inspect him and all he has is blue gear, I ask him if he was expecting us carry him and goes "chill dude like I said I've done it several times on my other account, and btw i gotta go and will be back in half an hour so you guys just wait for me", some guy asks if he can invite one of his friends to replace him and i kick the other guy, one hour later we had finished the raid and decided to do another one and i get a PM from the guy complaining that I shouldn't have kicked him
