In the past three weeks I’ve tried to play trials with some decent teams. Kda ranging from 2.0 to 1.5, we aren’t some no thumb nerds. But every trials car around three to four wins I will always encounter the 6.79 kda twitch streamers. And they make it known that they are carrying. To only then be throttled 0-4, and a loss on my card. I’m no trials guru, but I know that the skill base matchmaking definitely has a problem with the algorithm. If anyone sees a quick fix please let it be known. But I am just tired of trying with trials anymore. In D1 I went flawless a good handful of times. I’m no trials noob, but I am also not a seasoned warrior. Let me know what y’all think. Is the trials system busted?

3 RepliesYa man ban the streamers from playing trials. 1.5-2 isn't that great to begin with. What kind of dumb post is this.
-
Streamers are aids.
-
4 RepliesPaid carries should result in instant bans

Lol be glad are are not just stacked

Twitch has destroyed the gamin industry.

I'm not entirely sure but my guess is that the player count for trials is pretty low, meaning you're more likely to be matched with these kind of people.

Maybe you're just not as good as you think you are? Trials doesn't even use Skill Based MM, so that was your first mistake thinking that it did. In addition, streamers are not the reason you're not going flawless. In you trials run this weekend, with 2 wins in a row on your card you lost to a team where 3 of the players had negative overall k/ds. They weren't recovered accounts either because that team lost their next game to a team who also had 2 players that deeply negative overall k/ds. Not every game you lose is to someone doing a carry on twitch. Even if you did, you lost because even with a carry, that team outplayed you. Would you still be mad if instead of a carry, it was a 4th strong PVP player and they 4-0'd you? You could play trials all weekend and never encounter a streamer, but apparently it's a problem the few times you actually have.

14 RepliesNah, the problem is connection based matchmaking for a “competitive” mode.

This isnt trials. Trials was left back in D1 and what we currently have is a weekend comp mode with underwhelming rewards and experience. Clutches are near impossible with it being 4v4 and everyone has access to social space after a win. They need 3v3 elim back and social space only for flawless members with actual good weapons and armor.

1 ReplyEdited by name: 7/9/2018 7:38:59 AMbut trials and destiny2 are created for them , not you , that should have been apparent since the "community" summit

They love it, it's promoting the game.

Edited by Jonnnys: 7/10/2018 10:34:08 AMYou can’t expect to win every game an you can’t moan about getting beat by a better team, does it matter if their doing a carry? I don’t think so. There’s a difference between having a decent kd and knowing how to win. There’s plenty of players with decent kds but struggle winning games. You’ve hardly played trials D2 and 3 players on your team are terrible, far below average.

4 RepliesWould you rather go against 3 good players and 1 potentially low skilled player, or would you rather play a full stacked team? I don't think streamers are the problem lol

2 RepliesEdited by yoyage: 7/9/2018 8:39:05 PMNot to mention the fact that they guarantee carries, and how do you guarantee it? Cheat, controllers etc etc

How, Sway?
-
there is no skill based matchmaking in trials
-
Trials is easy, you just gotta be lucky and decent.
-
Id blame regions servers as well as low player pool. This was an issue in D1 in year 3 when people were jumping ship. The player base for trials Id imagine is fairly small these days. So you are stuck with all those sweaties and streamers doing carries.
-
Its based on connection. Them streaming has nothing to do with it, they are just better

6 RepliesEdited by Blump: 7/9/2018 4:06:10 AMTrials matchmaking doesn’t use SBMM. It’s based on the number of wins on your card. Edit: I was mistaken. ToN matchmaking is based purely on connection.
